The original company culture no longer exists
Arbeitsatmosphäre
riskmethods GmbH exists only on paper. Prospective applicants should be aware that the 'small company' image—characterized by flat hierarchies and a close-knit, family-like atmosphere—is a thing of the past. Since the acquisition by the US corporation Sphera four years ago, the company has fundamentally changed. Please note that any reviews older than four years refer to a corporate culture that is no longer in place.
Large corporations, by nature, do not maintain flat hierarchies or family-like environments. Here, employees are treated as anonymous numbers. While corporate structures can offer benefits, I saw very few of them during my time. The treatment of staff is highly questionable, and a 'hire and fire' mentality has become the new norm.
Kommunikation
Communication is poor, and employees are consistently kept in the dark. Layoffs are even announced through mass emails. Furthermore, the company's vision remains a mystery to the workforce.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
I was fortunate enough to have a great manager myself. However, outside of my department, I witnessed supervisors openly marginalizing or even humiliating employees. For many, performance reviews or development talks were non-existent. Sphera’s motto seems to be that employees are solely responsible for their own careers. This is a far cry from the old riskmethods, where significant effort was put into motivating and supporting employees to help them reach their full potential.
