Unstable high-pressure environment with recurring layoffs
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
A lot of people in the team are nice and passionate about the industry.
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Over the past three years, the company has conducted at least one mass layoff per year, letting go of large numbers of employees at once. The management culture feels unstable: when the industry picks up, hiring happens quickly and in large numbers, but at the slightest downturn, people are let go just as fast.
The C-level team – strongly shaped by a Rocket Internet background – drives a very high pace with constant pressure and little room for stability or feedback. Since a new C-level joined, the culture has become even more numbers-driven, which has eroded much of the positive vibe that once came from passionate and friendly colleagues.
Employees should be aware: this is a startup environment with extreme speed, little feedback culture from leadership, no proper development processes, and the real risk of being let go overnight.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
The atmosphere is tense due to frequent layoffs and uncertainty. Stress levels are high, and many employees fear being next. While individuals are motivated, the overall culture feels unstable.
Work-Life-Balance
Workload is consistently high, with strong pressure to deliver fast results. Long hours and stress are common, making it hard to maintain balance. Recovery or downtime is rarely prioritized.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
Colleagues are supportive, friendly, and passionate about their work. The team spirit is often what makes the job enjoyable. However, constant layoffs weaken trust and morale over time.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Supervisors show little to no feedback culture, leaving employees without guidance or development opportunities. Decisions often feel top-down with minimal explanation. This creates insecurity and a lack of trust in leadership.
Kommunikation
Communication is poor, with key decisions made without transparency. Management is often left uninformed, creating confusion across teams. This leads to misalignment and frustration.
