I see major room for improvement in the office building, as it is outdated and dark. We are an innovative and cool company and the building should reflect exactly that! Also, I would appreciate fresh fruit and free coffee as is standard in most companies in Hamburg (and even western Europe in general).
Arbeitsatmosphäre
Atmosphere is really positive among the workforce, open dialogue between team members and some of the ELT (here some are more approachable and embody the Satair values more than others).
Kommunikation
Overall good and straight forward. Especially the townhalls (open meetings for the entire Satair workforce facilitated by the management) are great to learn about news and what is happening on the different fronts of the company.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
Colleagues are open, supportive and slightly more "down-to-earth" than in Finkenwerder.
Work-Life-Balance
Due to 35-hour-contract and hybrid working (2 days at home, 3 in the office) work-life-balanace works really well! Leaving early on certain days (to pick up children from school or go to the sports club) is facilitated without any problems.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
From what I see, most managers do a good job. Yes, there are better ones and not-so-great-ones as everywhere, but overall my experience here has been really good. I have witnessed a high level of trust, autonomy and a modern leadership style from managers who encourage their employees to identify their strengths and grow.

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen
As unfortunately quite common in Airbus, not all employees maintain a high level of motivation throughout their career within the company. Taken into account the shown engagement and performance, some are treated - and especially paid - far above what could be expected in the open job market. Needless to say, some older colleagues have a lot of expertise and/or great motivation and do an awesome job despite being close to retiring.
