I can't think of a single instance where it is negative in any way.
Never expected to do overtime. Requests (!) to do some always are accompanied with the proposal to take some time off later on (usually right on the next week).
Great at starting points (working students) for getting good fast. For full-time employees it looks like there's not many career / skill building paths that make sense. But hey - it's not a corp. Checkout the webpage and see what you'll be working with and if it's interesting.
Everybody is everyone's friend. I did not see a single instance of a serious conflict.
Won't point fingers here :) Could be improved, no problem whatsoever if it stays as it is.
Short and mid-term communication is very well figured out. Although the requests/issues/questions that should be resolved over longer period of time see just a partial success. And the latter might be just an impression due to lack of feedback for example.
I've seen some comedy in a good sense of this word. Overall impression is that it's fair enough as long as one knows their own worth.
This section of rating is quite political and we're rating a business as employer - it should not be expected to treat people equally. I just put 5 so that the overall rating average gets higher.
It depends on the variety of factors. 3 here is not signifying bad things, but rather "as it is expected - not bad, not good". If you're starting your career, then read it as 5 though. If there's some experience behind your shoulders, then it's normal.
- begeisterte Mitarbeiter, die Innovation schätzen
- sicherstellen, dass das beste Produkt an den Kunden geliefert wird
- erschöpfende Kodierungspraktiken
- as a workingstudent I learned alot
- you are part of a team and you feel as such
- you have great colleagues who are supportive and helpful
- the company is very state of the art concerning coding-practices and technologies
The atmosphere is very good, especially as the team comes together on repeating events
Colleges are great. They stick together, are friendly and helpful. Newcomers get a mentor.
Daily project meetings ensure that each dev is up to date. Also there is a daily meeting to update the company on what's happening overall.
The team is very diverse
Tasks and technologies can change fast but one is always supported.
Projects are interesting and each project I worked on was different.
Mutual trust and friendship are highly valued and encouraged.
since it's a startup it's sometimes a bit more work than life :D
everyone is super nice and helpful
very open, transparent communication
From the first day on you get responsibility and your own tasks. A mentor supports you continuously and helps you to grow and learn through e.g. continuous feedback talks.
Great emphasis is placed on the team and the individual employee, e.g. through team events.
Since it is a startup, the company is still under construction, so it could be the case that some of your workflows are changed or you need to take over some unusual tasks for a short time. (not really a negative point, but perhaps interesting to know)
no home office equipement like a company laptop
In addition to typical agency topics, we also look at other business areas, such developing an own product, building a blog and social activities. Concerning the team I can only say positive things. We treat each other with a lot of respect and everyone helps everyone.
You might not always stick to the classic working hours, but in the end the managers will guarantee a fair and balanced schedule for you.
SIDESTREAM is a great place to work, everyone there is friendly and cooperative, and from day one, it felt like a second home. Work got stressful at times as a working student still starting my professional career, but I always got the support and motivation I needed. In a nutshell, it's the perfect place to grow and thrive, as well as improve one's skillset. Work there was adventurous, the tasks were always challenging and diverse, not repetitive and boring, and the excitement was always there. All projects I worked on were creating solutions for existing real-life problems, which for me is the best thing a developer can do, and that is making clients', and most importantly, people's lives easier and more efficient through code. The entire working process and strategies are always tailored to meet the clients' needs on a professional and at the highest level possible.
We always work on a variety of interesting and challenging tasks. Communication is respectful and transparent. Everyone is really friendly and always willing to help. The managers make sure we keep learning day by day and they appreciate our opinions and ideas. Can definitely recommend working here!
Not necessarily a negative aspect but regardless of your position, you should be aware that you will take responsibility from day 1
SIDESTREAM has one of the best dev processes and a highly efficient pipeline. Also, I appreciate the working atmosphere. We treat each other like friends and when we face a problem there is no need to be worried and a patient and helpful answer from a colleague is guaranteed.
Things work really fast here, so you need to keep up with the pace.
So verdient kununu Geld.
