Great colleagues and interesting projects—but that's about it
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
There a still a lot of colleagues who really want to change and improve sth. Interessting projects.
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
In my opinion, SK has lost a part of its uniqueness. It no longer feels as familiar and respectful as it once did. The social and family-like atmosphere that used to characterize the company has faded. People are no longer seen and valued as individuals; instead, it often feels as if everyone is easily replaceable
Verbesserungsvorschläge
Listen to your employees and take their complaints seriously.
Be aware that it is significantly more expensive to hire and train new employees than to retain existing ones. It might help to have more team /project dinner and also meetings in person.
Also, pay more attention to achieving a good work-life balance. Try to reduce (working time) differences between E1 and LS
Arbeitsatmosphäre
Overall, the working environment is okay. However, the open space is often quite noisy. At times, there are 10–15 interns talking loudly, showing little consideration for colleagues who need to focus. The quality of feedback also varies significantly depending on the partner – sometimes it is very valuable, but not always consistent.
Image
I think overall it still has a good image, especially among clients
Work-Life-Balance
Non-existent—people talk about it and act as if it exists, but in my opinion, only for a few, while the others have to compensate for it
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
not existing; green washing - there is a new initiative, but not sure if this will change anything. Colleagues/partner decide to fly even within Germany (e.g., cluster meeting in Bonn)
Karriere/Weiterbildung
Some training courses are offered, but now almost exclusively online. Unfortunately, some partners seem to view training as leisure time, so you often don't have time to participate (or need to work on project tasks simultanously).
Kollegenzusammenhalt
Unfortunately, it's getting worse and worse, but it used to be the best thing about SK (and I still think it's the best thing today). However, I guess due to many changes (terminations, high workload, overload, poor communication from partners), the situation has changed (e.g. less time for coffee chats with newbies)
Vorgesetztenverhalten
It depends greatly on who you work with. Some partners are extremely pleasant and appreciative, while others show less recognition. In many cases, there is little to no time for consultation, which can make collaboration more difficult. Sometimes partners change their mind from one day to the next, which means that entire decks have to be redone
Kommunikation
Although it is claimed that there is open communication, a lot happens behind the employees' backs. Often, you don't know why you receive certain evaluations in your performance review. It seems that double standards are applied (e.g., who is allowed to take a sabbatical or do a rotation)
Gehalt/Benefits
Unfortunately, the salary is not commensurate with the working hours/workload. There was hardly any inflation adjustment (only a one-time payment).
Interessante Aufgaben
There were a variety of different projects. You can't choose which projects you work on (but that's probably normal). You can learn a lot
