the rooms are quite big, so colleagues sitting 3 chairs next to you prefer to send you an email instead of talking to you directly.

There are a lot of students and interns working there , their perspective doesn't seem so well. I can't speak for the employes.

contrast between ridiculous high requirements during the long process of application, and a salary that's close to being a joke

Depending on who of the founders you talk to and what they want you to believe, they tell you different stories about the current standing of the company. This is nothing new, but the completely different views where interesting.
