I was hired as a Design Intern, but my responsibilities were at times identical as those of people receiving more than double of my salary. I was told that my internship would serve as a probation, and I would most likely get a contract afterwards. As it turned out later, that's what ALL of the Design Interns were told by the HR Team at the time, and none of them saw a contract afterwards, even though the company won a new big client, also thanks to our hard work and dedication. It was really upsetting to see the company hire new people for the project we fought so hard for, and being let go of at the same time.
It's worth mentioning that I never received any negative feedback or any information on why this has happened. I even had a talk with my supervisor where he asked me if I would consider staying there after my internship. The worst part about it is that I declined another cool job offer (not internship) in favour of Sinner.
