Cheap minds create cheap solutions
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Since most of the team is young, the environment is pleasant and energetic.
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Where do I even begin? Unsurprisingly, the root of the problem lies with the management. While the company's business model of spending as little as possible and selling cheap may be viable, it’s not sustainable without showing appreciation for the people who actually keep things running.
Employees often work overtime, yet their voices go unheard. Everything seems to require the CEO’s final approval. Even if he doesn’t explicitly demand that kind of reverence, the culture suggests otherwise, as if we’re expected to silently accept that 'he knows best'.
What about everyone else who helped build the company? Why does nearly everyone leave after two years? Perhaps it's because top management operates like an exclusive clique, uninterested in the opinions of others. Add to that the lack of real senior roles or managers with actual decision making power.
Verbesserungsvorschläge
How many times does it need to be said, top management should start listening to their employees. Acting like you've discovered America doesn't make it true. Others did that a long time ago, and that's okay. And sorry to burst the bubble, but employees shouldn't feel grateful just to work for Solactive, Solactive should be grateful to have them
Arbeitsatmosphäre
The atmosphere feels neutral, most people just focus on their own tasks rather than the company itself. Yet, somehow, the company continues to perform well
Kommunikation
Communication between departments is surprisingly smooth. People are generally willing to help, even those working from across the globe
Kollegenzusammenhalt
Overall, the team is young, international, and brings a positive mindset to work. With only a few exceptions, you could say most people act professionally
Work-Life-Balance
Some departments appear to have it easy, while others are clearly under pressure... for example, receiving emails on Sundays doesn’t exactly scream work-life balance
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Overall, I believe they're part of the reason the company doesn’t progress further. They act like they know everything but rarely listen. Their plan is unclear, yet they expect results as if we could pull rabbits out of hats.
Interessante Aufgaben
The industry is quite niche, and likely more interesting to those who come from a similar field
Gleichberechtigung
There are only a few women in the company, and none in upper management, which makes the lack of gender diversity especially noticeable at the top
Arbeitsbedingungen
Modern open-space offices in a good Frankfurt location, with good technical equipment, but the kitchen and restrooms often fall short in terms of hygiene. Clearly, they dont want to pay for a cleaner to come more often. The snacks that they promise, not only you have to pay for them, but they are almost sold out.
Gehalt/Benefits
For the industry, it's decent. The benefits are okay, but beyond the paycheck, there’s not much else the company offers. They make you pay a christmas present, when they should be the ones giving you one.
Image
Ask upper management, and they’ll tell you they’re the best in the world. Ask me, and I would say, they’re okayish
Karriere/Weiterbildung
Nothing at all. Most people leave at 2 years, to find something better.
