Something is definitely wrong with this company and the HR department. First the HR approached me with consultation of the hiring manager that they liked my profile and wanted to go further. They said that I would have to lower my salary requirements which I did seeing the salary package and benefits they offered. After the first interview, HR was really positive and said he would come back to me with the next step. What was supposed to be the next interview ended up with a standard rejection in my mailbox after the weekend. Seems like they are not sure themselves whether they can actually offer the salary and backed out last minute and went for candidates with lower salary requirements. If you don't know yourself, stop giving false narratives of what is possible and say that its beyond the budget.
