Although the internal recruiters made some effort, the application process was unfortunately below average. Although I was actively contacted by the HR department, there were often no answers for days. It usually took several enquiries (regarding deadlines or basic questions) before an answer was given. In the video call, most of the questions (about tasks, team structure and development opportunities) could not be answered due to lack of knowledge. Finally, the process was terminated on the grounds that "I might not be happy there". This sounded strange to me, as they had previously emphasised what a good match I was. I was happy to take up the offer to ask questions. But these were apparently not welcome. After several cryptic answers and further enquiries, I was finally contacted by a colleague who admitted that they were looking for a completely different position (junior) after all. This mistake could have been admitted much earlier and not only after repeated enquiries.
