The job as a junior news and media editor is a job that needs very specific training. The training offered however is learn by shadowing via colleagues sharing their screens. This method is effective but needs a lot of time which was not offered before I had to dive in and work on my own. Some colleagues were super friendly and took the time to explain. However, the job is comprised of continuous time deadlines which makes it difficult to explain things in a timely manner. So it depends on catching what you can as the other colleague works. Despite that, I was able to understand alot of things and learn the main job in about 4 weeks. However, one cannot learn everything in 4 weeks, especially in a job with so many details that also has so many subjective situations, where for example one colleague can say based on their experience that one article is important for one client whereas the other would say no its not important. Only to find that they listed a new advertisement for the same job I was doing. I would have liked to be informed at least of how i can improve my performance before being let go like that after committing to a stressful and challenging job where i had to learn everything from ...

The work-life balance is good, the equipment is great and the team very nice! However, I would like work contracts to be completely written in English for colleagues who don't speak Germans. Otherwise they don't know their rights and their exact work conditions.
