long hours
low pay and no benefits for working students
I could hardly imagine something better! And that is our claim. If you spend 10h < a day with an activity and/or people, you should be happy to do so, at least if you want to become a part of yamuntu. We want to have fun together, we see the human being in the foreground, but we also have ambitions that we can only fulfill by achieving a certain amount of performance.
We like to get straight to the point, so we can avoid a lot of passive aggressive behavior ;)
We don't have lack of interesting tasks. Once you understand the mission and vision, understand what frameworks need to be considered, are ready to take responsibility for achieving the goal, you can have a lot of fun with us. The basic prerequisite is the will to work on your own. If you lack this, it is not a big deal, but you would be out of place at yamuntu.
The Atmosphere at yamuntu is great. We are a very young team with a lot passion. We know what we want to achieve and are motivated every day to get one step closer to our goal
We are working a lot, but always with passion. You are not enforced to do more but we really want to achieve something so we are working a lot.
As a tech startup, yamuntu is not producing environmentally harmful products. We want to do the opposite and have already done campaigns to black lives matter and fridays for future.
The Team feeling is nice. You can do mistakes when you learn from them and don't repeat them. The communication in general is pretty direct. When you don't like something, you say it and then we find a solution. Beside the work we are doing team events, play Console and have dramatic Nerf battles.
We have at the moment only on really old person. Our CTO. He is so incredible old, I wondered somebody can get so old. Okay joking aside, he is 30 and raising our company age average extremely and it would be nice to have some more older persons at yamuntu with a lot experience so they can share it to us.
The superiors are on one stage with each of the team. They have always an open ear, are reacting really constructive to criticism and always give you the feeling that your work is valued.
The working conditions are really good. You can work as much remote as you want. Especially now in corona time this is pretty nice. But there are also days where somebody is in the office and you can go there too.
We have daily, weekly and monthly meetings to stay informed. Everybody knows what he is supposed to do and where the startup wants to go.
Currently we are a really small startup and don't have a women in the tech team but it would be great to have some.
We are developing our app and other products with Flutter which is a pretty new cross platform framework. There is no "right" pattern how to do things with it because it's so new so every day you learn something new and gain experience with flutter.
I heard the CTO is pretty cool
We don't have an office atm, due to corona we canceled that topic and work from home for now, but will get back to that as soon as this whole mess is over.
Employ more people.
We all love what we do and are hyped to push yamuntu to its best. We value everyone and our highest priority is that everyone loves coming to work each day. If you don't feel like you aren't really motivated to work sometime, we rather have you spent a day off and come back when you are back at peak motivation.
Young, cool, hard-working, and ambitious. With a drive to have a positive impact on our society and how we act as consumers.
We depend on every single one in our Team, if you only want to work 9 to 5 and to get some money then some none startup companies might be the place for you to be as we are not just colleagues but a team that works, fights and celebrates together. We do gaming and event nights, the full startup experience.
We believe in everyone becoming their best version and try to help each other to do the same. Here you can still truly shape the way the company will move forward and become one of the core employees at yamuntu.
We are not paying amazingly but fair and try to make up for that with a bunch of goodies, employee benefits, and sometimes shares for employees that make themself a cornerstone to our company.
Our average age tells you everything you need to know. We support and participate as a company at Fridays for Future, Black lives matter and women in tech, and many other groups that fight for the good and our future.
We will be there, carrying your couch when you move to Hamburg to join us.
We are a really young company, literally. Our average age atm is 23 years old and I'm at 30 the oldest, which sometimes is an ironic joke we have here that I'm super old so yeah please help us increase the age average at least a little bit.
We are both really approachable and you can talk to us about anything. Any ideas, any problems, anything.
Whatever makes you feel good and work your best we will try to make it happen. We provide you with a laptop that enables you to do your best at your job and get everything done.
We are for straight communication, keeping the meetings as short as possible but also are open to anything anyone wants to talk about.
At the moment we are just getting started but goal is to have a completely equally distributed team in any way.
We value your input and if you have any idea to push our company to the next level talk to us, get some money and try it out. Also we always keen to check out new approaches and ways we can solve problems that come up.
There is a relaxed and not tense relationship with each other under the condition that everyone contributes his part.
In such a small company with a big vision it means a lot to give it your all. So from a general point of view, it's not for the typical 9/5 employee. What matters is long-term success and the team firmly believes that hard work will pay off. With the way we work together in the company, it is difficult to distinguish between work and life at all. It quickly becomes part of your life in a positive way. Something that was newly introduced are short daily exercise sessions in the morning to wake up before work begins. If you do not feel comfortable working or if you are simply a bit overwhelmed, it is quite openly tolerated that no human can be a machine and need breaks to clear the head.
As a team, we took part in the last worldwide Fridays for Future demonstration and are actively involved with the company, for example collecting donations for a wide variety of charitable purposes. Of course, nobody on the team is forced to take part.
Working together is essential. With this determination, the team always strives for the common good of one another. Weekly individual meetings let you talk openly about problems, ideas, etc.
Due to the fact that the oldest employee is 30 years old, older people may not feel comfortable with so many young people in terms of humor, life experience, etc. It is not tolerated that somebody will not participate at the Nerf Battle inside the office because of the age ;D
Very flat hierarchies which lead to constructive and down-to-earth communication in every situation and trust is given to you.
The team is currently still in a communal office in Hafencity. In the near future, the search for an office of their own should be made, where everyone on the team can participate and make suggestions. Due to the current pandemic situation, many work from home, which works great because the necessary resources such as a laptop are of course provided by the company.
As a fully digitized company, all resources (documentation, statistics, etc.) and communication options are available on demand and show its strength, especially in times of pandemic. Daily Standups and active, transparent updates about successes or failures are part of everyday life. Above all, this leads to the automatic acquisition of cross-departmental knowledge.
Although the team is very monotonous in the current situation and the team is only just being set up, the opinions are the same that you want to build a team from a wide range of diverse minds.
Ideas are always welcomed by every single person and are often put into practice. So you can basically create your own tasks that you are passionate about.
