Perfect for high performers and driven people. Decision making is very fast and you can have huge impact very early if that's what you're after. Innovation: Zizoo aims to digitilize an entire industry, following the steps of the hotel industry 10-15y ago. Potential: the company is growing fast and awesome talents are joining from larger big tech companies in oreder to be at the ground level of a cool company. Laid-back friendly culture. Benefits: Remote work, unlimited vacations, company boat trips.

Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich

Still typical cons of a small startup: some clunky processes and understaffed teams. Like for all travel-tech companies, covid has been rough. Although now the worst feels definitely behind.

The pressure in the sales team is on but to be honest, this I've experienced in any sales job, at least the Bonus is fair.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

A lot of good people left in 2020 which was really sad, but indeed the colleagues tere are top and I always appreciated the fact that I could trust them.

Arbeitsbedingungen

In 2020 we faced Corona, suddenly home office was up. People felt lost, no HR team to get help of. In 2021 they hired a new HR Manager, this girl seriously changed things drastically. People felt supported (including myself), the environment improved so much, cases were handled appropriate. We got honest information, were assisted and even team leads got to improve after that girl set a line. My offboard went smooth and I could trust the HR manager, provided all documents and so on.

After several years in the company my salary was fair, the bonus worked for me.

Trust and fairness are words that the management has yet to learn in a dictionary. The atmosphere is not all bad because most colleagues stick together and that allows bonding.

Customer feedback depends highly on each sales employee's relationship management.
Zizoo cares most about its image in relation to investors.

Work-Life-Balance

This is fantastic.
If you hate having a life.
Especially in Sales they will order you to work overtime, at weekends and keep a constant level of pressure in reaching ridiculous targets. I have seen more people cry here than anywhere else. A disgrace.

Karriere/Weiterbildung

The only thing you learn is how to detect false promises. Since turnover is quite high, there is a high chance you will be assigned with new tasks to compensate this. It's not the learning you want, but you'll learn.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

The basic salary is under average for most positions. There is a clear angle to hire people who have no leverage and are without alternatives (dependent on work visa etc.).
What people were paid the last couple of months during corona should be left unspoken.

Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein

They separate litter accordingly and seem to be conscious about the environment. There is always room for improvement but good all in all.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

This is by far the best you'll find here. There is a sense of being in the same boat which makes all other employees very supportive and helpful at all times.

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen

I cannot say neither bad or good. Zizoo staff is very young in general. It would be nice to have had a few more senior colleagues with the respective experience level.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

Don't worry about having conflicts with the management. Just keep quiet and say nothing even when blatant lies are being told, unrealistic goals or change of tasks (that have not been communicated before) are in question.
Management take feedback personally! There is no chance to have a mature conversation on how to improve a business.
I don't even want to go to detail in how little understanding mgmt. has of labour law.

Office was fine and the workspace itself allows everyone to do her or his job.

Kommunikation

There are two types of communication streams you will find here:
1. Company -> All employees:
Business updates and "strategy" are communicated here. Having worked in several companies before this feels more like propaganda with little effort to stay truly transparent.
For instance, the way Kurzarbeit was introduced, communicated and held in place was/is accompanied by lies that were easily detected. POOR.
2. Manager <-> employee (one to one):
This obviously depends highly on the respective manager you have. You cannot complain about the frequency of communication here. However, there is a clear top-down approach to the definition of tasks and goals that are NOT in scope or alignment with your work contract.
Also meetings and calls change randomly to their convenience and the worst of all is that they will order you to spontaneously change your shifts or work extra (even on bank holidays and weekends)

In my subjective perception women and men have equal chances and opportunities to develop and move up. Management consists mostly men, yet the CEO is a woman.

It's basically a call center in disguise. With the exception of the typical start-up "We-propaganda".

office is sometimes a bit chaotic, especially when new people start, but its improved a lot

hire more slowly - we made some mistakes in the past, hiring fast, last year we hired 40 people in 1 month, and then we had some negative toxic employees that were not dedicated and caused issues.

very flat hierarchy. you can speak to anyone and give your ideas. ceo interviews everybody and has an intro chat with them. my manager is the Chief Revenue Officer, he is inspirational, approachable, but also has very high standards :)
Through Corona in March and April, we had hard times but nobody was let go and the management really supported us through this hard period

we have high targets and are growing every month so its not a good place for people who are not hard working or ambitious

all numbers are shared on the daily basis with the whole team in a daily report sent our via email. there is a weekly all hands meeting with anonymous questions

Die Mitarbeiter stehen zusammen, aber nur weil die Geschäftsführung alle gleich schlecht behandelt.

Außerhalb der Firma wohl gut, kennen halt eher weniger Leute. Innen sieht es ganz anders aus.

Offiziell arbeiten wir in Kurzarbeit - 40 Stunden sind aber Pflicht, sonst wird mit Kündigung gedroht.
Nicht mal Homeoffice wurde langfristig erlaubt.

Ich konnte mich sehr gut in folgenden Bereichen weiterbilden:
- Arbeitsrecht
- Überstunden-Kompensation
- last minute Arbeitslosengeld beantragen

Wahrscheinlich normal für Berliner startups - wer gerne online shoppt, freut sich über die Gutscheine, die statt Gehalt ausgezahlt werden. Das ist illegal, interessiert aber niemanden.

Müll wird getrennt.
Viel Papier ist noch im Umlauf.
