Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich

Everyone's treated equally, in any circumstance I've encountered the people were friendly and happy to speak English whenever there's been a non-native speaker present. Also meetings are usually held in English. There's also recently been trainings for harassment/bullying which further improves the inclusion of anyone.

Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich

Too much focus on new hires. Existing employees are being left behind.
A sad example for that:
A friend of mine was recently hired as Software Engineer in Dynatrace and gets paid better than me (who's been with the company for quite some years now). Given we have similar backgrounds and education this just feels wrong. No wonder that in Austria people usually don't really speak about their salaries. I already received a slight raise and thus it's not possible for the company to go any higher until the new fiscal year. I guess resigning and re-applying would get me more ;(

Verbesserungsvorschläge

The focus should be on existing employees and not (only) on all the new hires. Growth is important and good but can also hurt a company big time. I also feel like there's plenty of OGs leaving recently which should also be recognized as a red flag by the management. I guess as long as there's enough new people interested in joining the focus will not be shifted. Please think of that before it's too late.

Kommunikation

Either too much or too little communication. Both on corporate level as well as more topic-focused. There's been effort to make it better but it's still not good.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

Depends on the team you are in, hard to say for the whole company.

Work-Life-Balance

It's said to be there but reality is that there's actually a lot of pressure to get your tasks done.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

The flat hierarchies we used to have are gone now. Most engineers have lost pretty much all contact to upper levels (except direct lead).

Interessante Aufgaben

As long as you don't get stuck in legacy support, the tasks can be great :)

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen

There's not really many older colleagues so it's hard to say. I feel like the younger generation is taking over the ship though.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

With the overtime agreement the payment is actually not that great compared to similar 38.5hr jobs. Maybe I wasn't fighting enough for my raise(s) though.

Image outside is hardly resembling the actual situation within the company. This has been the same in my previous employments so I guess it's part of the deal. Nevertheless this has worsened over the recent 5 or so years.

Karriere/Weiterbildung

There's quite some offerings in that regards. Unfortunately there's little to no time to actually do it. I have been using the platforms provided in my personal time though, which is nice to be able to do. I'd still wish there was more chances for that in work time.
