I feel the company has changed significantly and no longer reflects the culture and the environment it once had.
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
The product is outstanding, and there are significant opportunities to learn and grow. There is also plenty of room for creativity and innovation.
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Travel budgets, team events, and personal feedback talks are being cut off, yet hundreds of thousands are being invested in SAP legacy platforms like SuccessFactors. This sends conflicting signals about priorities of the leadership.
Over the past 5-6 years, the organization has undergone frequent structural and role changes, which have created uncertainty and instability within the company.
The Team Captain and the Product Owner defined as add-on roles
The LPE role was introduced and later removed.
A structure was introduced where solutions were led by PMs and Delivery Leads, and capabilities were led by Org Leads and Execution Leads.
Later, Delivery Leads were moved into the capabilities structure, and the Execution Lead role was removed.
There was an extended discussion about making the PO role a fixed position reporting to the Delivery Lead rather than an add-on role. However, when significant resistance emerged, the discussion was discontinued without further clarification.
The Delivery Lead and Org Lead roles were then merged into a single position.
It is also unclear whether the PO and Team Captain roles will continue to exist, as they are reportedly under review.
In addition, the most recent communications always highlighted strong financial performance. However, reading between the lines, another restructuring — potentially including layoffs — may be forthcoming.
Given this pattern of recurring changes, it is difficult to understand the long-term strategy behind these decisions. The constant restructuring has significantly affected morale. The overall atmosphere feels tense and uncertain, with many employees concerned about job security.
There is also a perception that a highly performance- and shareholder-driven mindset is dominating, where share price appears to be the primary focus. While we consistently hear that we are market leaders, internally there is a growing sense of leadership dissatisfaction, which is impacting employee well-being and mental health.
Verbesserungsvorschläge
A return to the company’s roots where employee satisfaction was a central priority would be appreciated.
