Say hello to our Pride @ GoStudent Employee Resource Group (ERG)!

Say hello to our Pride @ GoStudent Employee Resource Group (ERG)!

Just in time for Pride Month, we’re excited to introduce you to another empowering community within GoStudent. Today, we’re spotlighting the Pride @ GoStudent ERG and sharing their inspiring vision and initiatives!

We asked Rafael Masson, the leader of our Pride@GoStudent ERG, to tell us more:

What is the ERG’s vision? Our Employee Resource Groups ensure everyone at GoStudent feels welcome, valued, and respected. We celebrate each person’s unique qualities and promote a culture of allyship.

How does the ERG contribute to an empowering workplace? Being part of this group helps us create a space where diversity is celebrated. This enhances our workplace for everyone, not just LGBTQIAP+ individuals. It’s a place where we can all learn to support and appreciate each other's differences. We welcome all allies!

Why do you think it’s important for companies to have ERG initiatives? Diverse ideas and perspectives make our company stronger. Our ERG encourages everyone to be themselves, fostering a welcoming environment where everyone can contribute their best ideas. After all, we’re here to Disrupt Education, right?

Is there any GoStudent fundamental you centre your activities around? Pride @ GoStudent revolves around “We Empower Each Other” and “Grow Together.” These core principles guide everything we do.

How do these activities support the professional development and well-being of employees? Our activities help employees feel more connected and supported at work. This boosts confidence and happiness in their roles, contributing to their professional growth.

If the ERG had a theme song, what would it be and why? We’d choose “Born This Way” by Lady Gaga because it’s all about accepting yourself and others just as they are.

Ready to join us on this empowering journey? Together, we can make a difference!

Say hello to our Women @ GoStudent Employee Resource Group (ERG)!

Say hello to our Women @ GoStudent Employee Resource Group (ERG)!

At GoStudent, we're proud to foster passionate communities through our Employee Resource Groups. Today, we're excited to spotlight the Women @ GoStudent ERG and share their inspiring vision and initiatives!

We’ve asked Christina Schwarzinger, the leader of our Women @ GoStudent ERG, To tell us more:

What is the ERG’s vision? Our vision is simple yet powerful: to empower women and create a future where women have an equal seat at every table.

How does the ERG contribute to an empowering workplace? We have a Slack Group where we exchange resources, thoughts, and ideas. We also host weekly Friday catch-ups, where we plan upcoming events or discuss topics of interest. Moreover, we hold regular inspirational workshops and learning sessions for all talents at GoStudent around topics that matter to us. We also host get-togethers or hybrid Yoga & Breakfast Sessions to exchange ideas, fostering a supportive and empowering environment for all.

Why do you think it's important for companies to have ERG initiatives? ERGs inspire the entire business to come together and promote female voices. They help us attract and retain female talents by providing an important space for meaningful exchanges on topics that truly matter.

Is there any GoStudent fundamental you centre your activities around? Absolutely! Our activities are centred around two fundamentals: “Empower each other” by regularly getting together to exchange ideas and “Grow together” by learning from each other.

How do these activities support the professional development and well-being of employees? By strengthening relationships within the company, we boost team satisfaction and provide opportunities for professional and personal growth.

If the ERG had a theme song, what would it be and why? "Run the World (Girls)" by Beyoncé—it reminds us of the strength that lies in all of us.

We at GoStudent are taking a bold leap into the future as we Re:Imagine Tomorrow!✨

We at GoStudent are taking a bold leap into the future as we Re:Imagine Tomorrow!✨

At the beginning of this month, we held our global internal Re:Imagine Tomorrow event – a day filled with exchange, team-building activities & thought-provoking speaker sessions.
After the relaunch of our fundamentals – our guiding company values here at GoStudent - this hybrid event, taking place across all our offices, marked the highlight of our initial rollout journey. We celebrated our new fundamentals, looked back at what we have already achieved, and were inspired by what’s yet in store for us!

The day kicked off with different fundamental-focused activities per office, such as speed dating to encourage cross-departmental exchange, team building activities to bring us all closer together, brain food sessions to expand our horizons & more.

In the afternoon we all met for a global watch party of our live streamed event, with exciting speakers we know and love from around the GoStudent group, such as Albert Clemente, David Schalkhammer, Flavia Belham, Lorenz Haase, Felix Ohswald and Gregor Müller as well as inspiring external speakers from across the globe such as Laurel Farrer, Fran Hale and Ali Mahlodji. We exchanged about the future of EdTech, ways to successfully navigate change, tips & tricks to build a successful distributed organisation, how to find your “Why” and much more!

And it wouldn’t be GoStudent if we did not end the day with an office party to all reflect on the day together.
