Solid Workplace with room for improvement
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Intersting tasks and even more interesting people to work with and to learn from. We have an incredible story and an even more impressive product and I think there are a lot of efforts and initiatives to improve our status quo.
Verbesserungsvorschläge
Overall: sometimes it still feels like a research institute/university or start-up and we should be moving towards professionalism and maturity and one way to go would be focus on leadership and internal career development as well as learning from past mistakes.
For me pesonally: I am quite happy in my role and in my team and with my direct manager - what would make my life easier is a bit more flexibility with regards to working remotely and/or at least subsidizing public transport in exchange.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
I appreciate the collabortion within our department as well as cross departments a lot - people are truly cooperative, helpful and very approachable, which makes it easy as a new joiner. The atmosphere seems to be still affected by the restructurings last year, but overall I feel like it is getting better. The tasks are extremely interesting and in my point of view compared to other employers easier to pitch new ideas for process improvements, new systems etc. as everyone seems to be open for change. Even though I am happy with my manager, who is very transparent and supportive: where I see potential when talking to colleagues is in the leadership behaviours - some are great, while others seem to lack a sense of responsibility and are not communicating enough to their employees.
Gehalt/Benefits
Compensation package is fine and there are some benefits from the works council. The best benefit for me would be a subsidy for public transport, as I mentioned before - but this is not offered. There are some internal soft skill trainings available, but there is room for improvement with regards to career development options and clarity.
Arbeitsbedingungen
Open offices in Brunn and Vienna, but there are enough phone booths and meeting rooms that can be booked and I was always able to find something. Also in the open offices, I do not feel bothered by noise or similar. Home Office is allowed once per week - twice would be better for me personally.
There are charging stations for electro-cars e. g. but what is missing for me is a subsidy for the public transport tickets (wiener linien, klimaticket). This would give a clear message in terms of environmental standpoint.
Gleichberechtigung
Very diverse teams, lots of different nationalities and backgrounds - I did not experience any discrimination of any sorts.
