The Position

Diagnostics Operations Penzberg is a key producer of high-quality materials and kits for Roche's Diagnostics division. The team focuses on solid-phase chemistry, producing modified oligonucleotides, peptides, and conjugates to support PCR, immunoassay, and sequencing technologies. We are seeking a professional to join our manufacturing team to drive production quality, introduce new products, and optimize processes.

Responsibilities

• Plan, monitor, and oversee production and validation processes in compliance with SHE and quality standards.
• Conduct troubleshooting, process optimization, scale-up projects, and support new product implementation.
• Manage the creation and revision of quality and safety documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project management, MSAT, engineering, quality, and safety.
• Develop into a technical leadership role, coordinating staff and managing deviations or release processes.

Requirements

• PhD in (bio)organic chemistry or an engineering degree with significant experience in regulated chemical production.
• Strong theoretical and practical knowledge in solid-phase synthesis, organic synthesis, or chemical engineering.
• High awareness of quality and safety standards; experience with GMP is an advantage.
• Motivation to grow into a technical leadership position.
• Proficiency in German and English, along with strong IT skills.
