At ABB, we help industries outrun - leaner and cleaner. Here, progress is an expectation - for you, and the world. As a global leader, we are committed to making a difference. We are proud of our culture and the way we work together. We are driven by a shared ambition to create a better future. We are looking for people who share our passion for innovation and our commitment to excellence. We are looking for people who want to make a difference. We are looking for you.

This role sits within ABB's Robotics business, a leading global robotics company. We're entering an exciting new chapter as we've announced the plan for SoftBank Group to acquire ABB Robotics. SoftBank is a globally recognized technology group and investor/operator focused on AI, robotics, and next-generation computing. By joining us now, you'll be part of a pioneering team shaping the future of robotics - working alongside world-class experts in a fast-moving, innovation-driven environment.

This Position reports to:

Global People Operations Lead

Your role and responsibilities:

As we establish ABB Robotics as a standalone entity, we are seeking a People Operations Partner to own the employee lifecycle for our regional clusters - DACH. This role is the backbone of our HR delivery model, ensuring that from the moment a candidate signs an offer to the day they retire, their data and experience are handled with precision.

You will play a pivotal role in harmonizing processes across legacy ABB and newly acquired SoftBank teams, ensuring a 'One Robotics' experience through Workday.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid (#LI Hybrid)

Location: Poland, Spain

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Lifecycle Management: Lead the administrative execution of all key employee events:
    • Onboarding: Coordinating contract generation, background checks, and Day 1 readiness.
    • Employee Changes: Managing promotions, lateral moves, and data corrections in Workday.
    • Offboarding: Handling resignations, terminations, and final documentation.
  • Workday Governance: Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Workday business processes within your cluster, ensuring 100% data accuracy for downstream payroll and reporting.
  • Benefits Administration: Partner with local brokers and providers to manage enrollment, eligibility, and troubleshooting for regional benefit programs.
  • Comp & Rewards Support: Assist the Total Rewards team during annual cycles (merit increases, bonus payments) by auditing data and generating employee communication letters.
  • Compliance & Audit: Ensure all employee files and digital records meet local labor law requirements and internal audit standards.
  • Process Harmonization: Support the carve-out by identifying legacy ABB processes that need to be 're-wired' for the new standalone organization.

Qualifications for the role:

  • 5 - 8 years in HR Operations or Shared Services, covering multiple countries (Cluster experience). Prior HR experience in the DACH Region is an asset.
  • Advanced experience in Workday HCM. You should be comfortable navigating business process (BP) flows and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of the employee lifecycle and how HR data impacts Payroll and Benefits.
  • Experience with mergers, acquisitions, transitions or carve-outs is a significant advantage.
  • Ability to explain complex HR policies or system requirements to employees and managers clearly.
  • Language skills: Proficiency in English and German
