Roche is seeking an Android Expert to lead the development of mobile components for its unified Design System. You will architect, develop, and maintain scalable UI components, ensuring a consistent user experience across digital products. This role involves close collaboration with design and development teams, technical assessment of mobile solutions, and the integration of AI-powered design tools.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain mobile Design System components and interaction patterns.
• Write clean, testable, and scalable code while maintaining quality through automated testing and CI pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on goals, scope, and business outcomes.
• Support the mobile development community in the adoption and implementation of design components.
• Evaluate new technologies and frameworks, and contribute to mobile user experience standards.
• Create documentation for AI agents and test applications to ensure library compatibility.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience as an Android Developer.
• Expertise in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Git.
• Strong experience building reusable, testable, and composable UI components.
• Proficiency in unit testing, screenshot testing, and Compose UI testing.
• Deep knowledge of accessibility best practices (A11y) in Jetpack Compose.
• Understanding of Material Design 3 and RTL implementation.
