Responsibilities
- Plan and execute forensic imaging, end-to-end eDiscovery workflows in Microsoft Purview, and data collection from company systems and devices.
- Recommend and execute data processing in Relativity and Purview Premium, utilizing Boolean searching, culling, and AI-assisted review.
- Act as an IT liaison to internal and external counsel, translating technical concepts into legal realities.
- Manage day-to-day operations, including responding to time-sensitive requests and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Coordinate logistics for physical and remote device acquisitions, including secure storage and retirement of evidence.
- Maintain meticulous documentation and chain of custody in adherence to the EDRM.
- Manage the lifecycle of forensic and eDiscovery tools such as Cellebrite, Druva, EnCase, and FTK.
- Continuously refine collection workflows to account for OS updates and security features, while deploying automation and AI improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in eDiscovery, digital forensics, or specialized IT incident response.
- Expertise in collecting ESI from iOS devices and macOS environments, including knowledge of APFS, FileVault, and MDM.
- Proficiency in Windows 10/11 environments, NTFS, and BitLocker.
- Hands-on experience with forensic data collection software (e.g., Cellebrite, Druva, EnCase).
- Deep understanding of EDRM, legal holds, and data privacy regulations like GDPR and CCPA.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred: Industry certifications (CFCE, CCE, EnCE, CCME, GCFE/GCFA, RCA) and experience with cloud data collections (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack).
- Technical proficiency in PowerShell, GenAI prompt writing, and data modeling.
