Tieto Caretech is modernizing the Nordic health and social care sector with modular, open, and interoperable software. We develop and deliver high-quality software solutions and services that enable healthcare and welfare professionals to do their work even better and with higher efficiency - have more time to care.

We are a global team of professionals working on providing products and services to different sectors, from intensive care to laboratory and social care. In addition to working closely with our customers, we also have our own products that we build and develop for various fields in society. From enabling healthcare professionals to spend more valuable time with their patients to providing data for professional athletes to achieve even better results, we make all that possible. With us you can build technology for the good of society and make your mark on the health and wellbeing of people in need.

About the role

As Manager, Project Management in our Care Suite unit, you will lead and develop a team of project managers across the Nordics, responsible for healthcare software implementations and related projects in Care Suite.

You will strengthen project management capabilities, modernize ways of working, improve delivery governance and support project managers in managing scope, quality, cost, schedules and customer value. The role combines people leadership, portfolio and financial oversight, stakeholder management and continuous improvement.

You will also promote the responsible use of data, automation and AI assisted tools to improve delivery predictability, project visibility, risk management, reporting and decision making in a regulated healthcare environment.

In this role you will

  • Build and establish the Nordic project management team for Care Suite.
  • Lead, coach and develop project managers across countries and sites, fostering ownership, collaboration, transparency and continuous improvement.
  • Modernize project management practices, governance routines, templates, tools, reporting models and delivery KPIs.
  • Oversee project planning, resource coordination, budgeting, financial performance, risks, issues, status reporting and escalations.
  • Provide portfolio level visibility into project progress, dependencies, risks, capacity and delivery performance to support timely decisions by leadership and steering groups.
  • Support project managers in customer facing situations, including steering group meetings, complex stakeholder dialogue, change management and delivery challenges.
  • Drive alignment between projects, product development, operations, sales and customer organizations to create coordinated and realistic delivery plans.
  • Ensure delivery in line with contractual commitments, quality expectations and relevant regulatory and compliance requirements for healthcare software.
  • Lead modernization initiatives that improve delivery predictability, efficiency, customer satisfaction, team maturity and readiness for AI enabled ways of working.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual administration through automation and AI, including status reporting, risk identification, project planning and portfolio insights.

We are looking for someone with

  • Proven experience in complex software project, program or delivery management in enterprise software, healthcare, public sector or another regulated environment.
  • Experience leading, coaching and developing project managers or a PMO/project delivery function across countries and sites.
  • Strong understanding of hybrid and on-premise delivery, software releases, customer specific integrations, SaaS transition and public sector governance.
  • Track record of improving project governance, practices, KPIs, tools and reporting, including project delivery excellence and business transformation through improved operating models, processes and ways of working.
  • Experience overseeing multiple customer deliveries, including resources, risks, capacity, financial performance and reporting, with an understanding of financial management and value creation.
  • Understanding of regulated software delivery, data protection, information security and responsible AI, including compliance, quality and risk management in complex delivery environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a strong customer focus and understanding of how delivery quality, predictability and communication influence customer experience.
  • Ability to balance customer value, business objectives, financial performance, quality, compliance and risk in decision making.
  • Good understanding of project management tools, dashboards, data-driven follow-up, automation and AI-assisted delivery management.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

AI knowledge requirement

AI literacy is expected for this role. You will be comfortable using approved AI tools to improve quality and productivity in everyday work. You can write clear prompts/instructions, critically evaluate and validate AI outputs, and apply sound judgement when results are incomplete, biased, or incorrect. You understand and follow company policies and applicable legal/regulatory requirements for confidentiality, privacy, security, and responsible AI use.

What’s in it for you?

With us you will be part of the important and meaningful work of developing healthcare for all of us. You have an important mission to make a difference that really matters. In addition, as a company we offer you professional growth, open and friendly culture, and an outstanding work-life balance! We believe that our organizational culture is an important part of enabling you to be successful.

Finally, we also believe in curiosity and learning as a lifestyle. We want to encourage you to keep up that curiosity and deepen your knowledge on topics you’re interested in. For example, we host a ‘Keep Learning Week’ twice a year, a week where everyone at Tieto has the possibility to join different training courses in a truly global setting.

Could you be our new colleague?

We look forward to hearing from you! We will fill the position as soon as we find the right person, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.

We perform background checks on all final candidates.
