University Assistant (must hold a Doctorate/Ph.D. degree) for a full-time, six-year position

Responsibilities
- Design, develop and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in English (C1) and German (C1)
- Supervise bachelor and master theses
- Continuously enhance teaching quality, assessment methods and the overall student learning experience
- Conduct independent and collaborative research within the Institute's core research areas
- Develop, lead and manage national and international research projects, secure competitive external research funding and establish long-term research collaborations
- Publish research in internationally renowned academic journals
- Communicate research findings to academia, industry, policy makers and society, thereby contributing to the academic and societal impact of the Institute's research
- Contribute to the strategic development of the Institute's academic programmes and those of the JKU Business School
- Contribute to the development and delivery of Executive Education programmes and other forms of continuing professional education
- Contribute to internationalisation, quality assurance, accreditation activities and other strategic initiatives of the Institute and the JKU Business School. Depending on qualifications and interests, assume responsibility for the management of academic programmes or programme components within the JKU Business School
- Contribute to developing strategic partnerships with businesses and public institutions, with a particular focus on Executive Education, knowledge transfer, and lifelong learning initiatives
- Undertake international travel as required for research, teaching and academic engagement
Requirements
- A doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent) in Business Administration or Social and Economic Sciences from an internationally recognised university.
- Excellent command of the German (C1) and English (C1) language
- Demonstrated university-level teaching experience and experience in supervising bachelor's and master's theses
- Strong theoretical background in Marketing, Sales, Retailing and Consumer Research as well as professional experience
- Excellent expertise in qualitative and quantitative marketing research methods, including advanced statistical techniques
- Evidence of a leading role in scholarly publishing in many internationally renowned academic journals
- Extensive experience across the entire academic publishing process, from research design and data collection through to successful publication
- Demonstrated success in developing, preparing and securing competitive external research funding
- Experience in leading research projects and international research collaborations
- Experience in Executive Education, continuing professional education or knowledge transfer, academic programme management, and communicating research findings to industry, policy makers and the wider public
- Evidence of international academic recognition, for example through research awards, Best Paper Awards, invited presentations or other forms of external recognition of research excellence

- On the basis of full-time employment (40 hours/week) the minimum salary in accordance with the collective agreement is €5,014.30 gross per month (14 x per year, CA Job Grade: B1)
