Head of Commercial Excellence, China

Roche is seeking a strategic and execution-focused Head of Commercial Excellence for China to act as the architect of commercial capabilities, processes, and systems. This role involves transforming data into strategy to ensure agility and alignment across the China commercial operation.

Responsibilities

• Develop a 3-5 year Commercial Excellence roadmap and lead integrated Go-To-Market strategies.
• Drive Field Force Effectiveness, including segmentation, targeting, and incentive compensation.
• Partner with brand teams on omnichannel marketing and launch excellence frameworks.
• Build a data and analytics powerhouse to provide actionable insights for pricing and strategy.
• Oversee the commercial technology stack, including CRM and AI tools.
• Lead, mentor, and inspire a multi-disciplinary team while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Design training programs to enhance the strategic capabilities of cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• 15+ years in the pharma/biotech industry, with 5-7 years in a senior Commercial Excellence leadership role.
• Deep, applied understanding of the mainland China healthcare ecosystem, policy landscape, and digital environment.
• Proven ability to balance long-term strategic vision with short-term operational execution.
• Exceptional leadership skills with experience building and developing high-performing teams.
• Superior analytical skills and a history of leveraging data to drive business performance.
• Advanced degree (MBA, MS, or PhD preferred).
• Fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English.
