the best people (not most upper mangement) and flexibility
terrible salaries, not enough benefits to make up for the pure volume of work/hours you put in. the best people are not rewarded and the people who play the game are even if they aren't very good at their jobs. they don't practice what they preach.
better benefits, treating workers with respect and practicing what they preach would go a long way
the people at deloitte are incredible, I met longlasting friends there but the way they treat employees is diabolical
besides the people, the flexibility is the best thing about deloitte
deloitte employees often have to do the jobs of 3 people while getting paid a lower, uncompetitive salary and it's almost impossible to be promoted/get a proper salary raise. It's easier to leave deloitte and come back for a promotion rather than staying and proving your worth
sometimes I wonder how some of the upper management at Deloitte even get out their doors in the morning because of how incompetent they could be.
lack of transparency throughout upper management
on the outside, deloitte pretends to be more inclusive than it is but behind the scenes, they treat women, people of color and LGBT employees horrendously
I liked my day to day tasks, just wished we'd all have been rewarded for the hard work we did
Brand, D&I, Learning opportunities
Pay, work-life balance, almost no benefits
Appreciate your employees. Nice offices with fancy furniture does not result in happy employees. Pay them fairly.
Always under pressure
good for the CV
Coming back from holidays, I had 2000 mails pending. I was always under pressure with no real understanding from management. I had a hard time sleeping. Since I changed my job, I finally have a normal life again and a much better pay.
a real joke, especially the pension fund
great people who work there. I guess the common suffering makes it easier
Depended. Some really bad, others good.
You can learn a lot
Some of the people working there are my best friends today. Looks good to have Deloitte on your CV
So many things honestly: the mid-level leadership, the communication, the salary, how people are treated, ...
Listen to your people (especially the ones that are leaving: why are the leaving?), appreciate your people more
There's a lot of behind the back
Image and reputation definitely don't align. Most people want to get out of Deloitte
Especially when wart of Internal Client Services, career development opportunities are basically inexistent. I got promoted once while I was there, but my tasks/responsibilities didn't change at all. I brought up the topic with my manager several times, but was never given the opportunity to grow
very bad salary compared to the market. You work a lot, but you don't get much for it. No bonus back when I was there (I think they changed that in the meantime though). Not really any great benefits
lots of words about it, very little action
with my colleagues with the same grades as me the relationship was very good and lots of support for each other
Not sure where to even start, my direct manager was the most incompetent person ever (especially on an interpersonal level)
I was still working there when we were at the old office, which was a super old building and really old infrastructure
leadership doesn't communicate to everyone
They say DEI is super important, but they don't really live by it
tasks were okay, but they never changed during the 3 years I was there. Even though I raised the topic myself and wanted to grow/develop
Abhängig davon, ob man voneinander profitiert
Sehr international (auch im Vergleich zu der Competition). Unternehmerisch.
Kein 9to5 aber mit viel Flexibilität
Zumindest im M&A Bereich
Projektarbeit - sehr abwechlungsreich
- International
- Hilfsbereit
-freie Tage an denen man die QV schriebt
-Finanzielle unterstützung/entschädigung für Sprachaufenthalt
-GA währe besser als Halbtax
die Internationalität

freie Tage an den QV Tagen
There are a few fun social events, and quite a few smart people that are fun to work with.
When things get dicey, nobody takes a stand. No matter what kind of track record you have, it's rare for people to stand up for other people. Instead, everyone prefers to look out for themselves.
In addition to internal communication, transparency is also subterranean. If this is important to you, please give Deloitte Consulting a wide berth. Already during the pandemic, the head of HR at the time (who has since moved on to next hot thing: Sustainability) promised that “big things are coming” with regard to salary transparency. But nothing has happened over the years. Multiple inquiries were ignored. So today still, neither salary bands nor many of the internal processes are transparent.
The waves of redundancies in recent months and years have not been communicated either. On the contrary, specifically in the Human Capital team, the team was told by the Lead Partner from a German speaking country, not to worry and that all is fine, while people were being let go at the same time.
What about the affected people? It was not communicated or explained to them why they were made redundant. The firm needs some restructuring, okay, but how do they select the people that need to leave? What are the criteria? They simply ended up on a secret list and nothing more could be said. Imagine that: After multiple years of working for Deloitte, you sit in a room where you are surprisingly being let go, and neither your Talent Partner nor HR explains to you the reason why you were chosen. This happened to many people from my network. Professionalism and leadership? Maybe towards the client, but definitely not internally.
Finally muck out. There are too many free riders who have no idea but are good at talking (and sometimes not even that). This starts with the management team at Human Capital Consulting and extends to the executive board, where a former Human Capital Consulting Partner from South America sits. This person can't give a clear answer to a simple question, but gets caught up in “consulting slang”. It really is fascinating if you witness that behavior in person. In fact, it's hard to witness that and not burst out: "You are not making any sense at all!".
It's no surprise that similar people like that get promoted. They love the spotlight and speaking in front of people, but when you actually listen and see them work on a project, it's mind-boggling: How does nobody see the bullshitting going on? Why is nobody acting on this?
The firm could be so much more efficient and effective. But as long as there are people from the executive board to the team level like the ones described above, it's hard.
Depends on the project you are working on.
The image is pretty spot on: you are just a number in a very big business.
Depends on your project, your leader as well as your personal boundaries.
Below average especially when you compare your salary to the hours you work.
Business travels were reduced with Covid. Besides that it's mostly green washing.
There is a dedicated team focusing on sustainability, which isn't bad, but it's still hypocritical when you look at Deloitte's client list - some of which are not sustainable at all.
The partners in the Human Capital team are not worthy of the title. If you look left and right in other consulting teams, you quickly realize what good leadership would be and how easy it could be.
The top-down communication is subterranean. Especially in the Human Capital Consulting team, who should actually know better. Beating around the bush, promising all is good and everyone is happy, while at the same time some people in the team are being let go, is just one example.
Depends again on your project and what you actively focus on.
Nothing
Toxic atmosphere, incompetent, mobbing colleagues and managers. It is not clear why this company receives any mandates.
Entire stuff should be replaced.
Toxic, unsupportive, revolting
Not existing
Only money matters
You need to watch your back all the time
Complete disgrace, there are no managers there
Like at a plantation in the southern USA before the civil war
Not existing
Next joke please
So verdient kununu Geld.
