Beautiful hotel
Most of my colleagues are true team players. Everyone is so helpful, and we always support each other to get the job done.
Some of the portiers are not helping the team at all. They only think about themselves, which hurts the team spirit and is not good for the workplace.
Please consider increasing the salary for the housekeeping team. The work is physically demanding, and a higher wage would show that our hard work and dedication to keeping this beautiful hotel clean are truly valued.
The management in our department is very friendly and always solution-oriented.
The hotel is beautiful and very clean, which makes you proud to work here. It is a tough job, but seeing the great results of our work in such a nice property makes it worth it.
Pros: It's hard work, but the boundary is strict: when you leave the building, you are 100% done. No phone calls or emails follow you home.
Cons: The physical toll means you might be too tired to do much right after a heavy shift.
Overall: Good for anyone who wants to keep work and personal life completely separate.
We have useful training sessions once a month with our manager on how to clean more efficiently. It helps us improve our skills and handle the work better.
The salary is paid completely on time, but it’s not good enough for how hard the physical work is. It would be great if they could increase our salary to match our effort. It's hospitality, but we deserve a bit more!
Our monthly training with the manager helps us use cleaning products and resources much more efficiently. Keeping the hotel beautiful and clean is done with a strong focus on not wasting materials, which is great for the environment.
The team sticks together well, and our manager sets a great, friendly example for everyone. However, high staff turnover (people leaving) or seasonal stress sometimes puts a strain on teamwork.
Interactions with older colleagues weren't easy at the beginning. However, we have grown together, and now we are much more than just work colleagues. The team spirit is fantastic.
Housekeeping is not an easy department to work in, but our manager holds the team together incredibly well. She, along with the supervisors and other managers, creates a highly supportive environment. Because she is so friendly and always focuses on solving problems immediately, the team stays motivated and united even during the busiest and most stressful days.
Housekeeping is very hard physical labor, but the hotel provides us with good equipment and everything we need. It's not easy, but it’s hospitality! Management does a great job making sure we get our regular breaks to recover.
Thanks to our Executive Housekeeper, information flows quickly and efficiently. She is always approachable, listens to our feedback, and communicates in a friendly and respectful manner.
Housekeeping is like a diverse small nation here, with everyone speaking different languages. Despite this, the team works beautifully together, and management ensures everyone is treated with equal respect.
(Busy, but full of independent responsibility)
I’m grateful for the opportunities I’ve been given. My manager leads with respect and supports the team. She motivates us instead of leading through pressure or fear. Here, success is earned through hard work, dedication, and a positive attitude—it is not something that is simply expected. I’m proud to be part of a team that values this mindset.

How some of them maybe listen to you
For not being available at any cost and your opinion doesn't matter….
Behaviour, salary and work management
Following the housekeeping department meeting, we were informed that concerns raised by the housekeeping team had been discussed and that positive changes would be made. Unfortunately, many employees have not seen a meaningful improvement in the behaviour of our superiors which has a style that originally led to the complaints.
Beautiful hotel bad management
Happy to have days off, when you are there you just get demotivated sad and work without any will
You will never get promoted because our new executive needs new people from outside
:((((
I liked my co workers
Not everyone from older colleagues can handle it…
Treating people bad and having her own group of people depends on our heads mood and changed 0 things which she said she will, became only worse for some people that is why people keep leaving
Being treated worse and worse, if you need to talk to our superior you need to repeat and book a press conrerence for yourself every day if you are lucky she will hear you on the second weeK (maybe) usually no answer very busy times or you will be told if you want to to you can leave and quit
A lack of trust between employees and management. A working atmosphere that continues to negatively affect morale, motivation, and employee well-being, not to mention the lack of communication between each other in the office… and everyone doing their own thing without any communication or mutual agreement
Depends which person you are according to likings

• Sehr gute Lage und Infrastruktur des Hotels
• Moderne technische Ausstattung
• Grundsätzlich viel Gestaltungsspielraum bei der Arbeit
• Stark manipulative und unehrliche Teamleader
• Grüppchenbildung und Bevorzugung bestimmter Mitarbeiter
• Schlechte Kommunikation und fehlende Transparenz
• Hohe Fluktuation guter Mitarbeiter

One of the things I truly appreciate about my employer is the flexibility in working hours. This level of flexibility allows me to maintain a healthy work-life balance, ensuring I can meet both personal and professional commitments without feeling overwhelmed.
It's refreshing to work in an environment that recognizes the importance of balancing work responsibilities with personal well-being. This approach not only makes me feel valued as an employee but also boosts my productivity and morale, as I can approach my tasks with focus and energy.
The ability to adapt my schedule as needed demonstrates my employer’s commitment to supporting their employees’ overall quality of life, which is something I deeply respect and value.
One of the significant issues I find with my employer is the creation of a toxic work environment. This is primarily due to the lack of adequate tools, items, or materials necessary to carry out tasks effectively. Despite this, employees are still expected to deliver 100% efficiency, which creates unnecessary stress and frustration. It becomes challenging to meet expectations when the basic resources to perform our duties are not provided.
Additionally, the workplace fosters a culture that encourages racial discrimination, bullying, and oppression. These behaviors not only harm individuals but also create an atmosphere of fear and division. What makes this even worse is the system’s reaction when victims try to defend themselves. Instead of addressing the root problem, the system often retaliates by firing the victim, further discouraging employees from standing up for themselves.
Many employees experience at least one of these issues daily, but they are afraid to speak up. The fear of being laid off or facing retaliation prevents them from voicing their concerns, perpetuating the cycle of toxicity. This lack of support for employees and the failure to address these critical issues severely impacts morale, productivity, and the overall well-being of the workforce.
It’s disheartening to work in an environment where fairness, respect, and proper support are lacking, and where those who try to make a change are met with resistance rather than understanding.
It is essential for employers to foster a workplace culture that prioritizes inclusivity, respect, and fairness. Addressing and preventing toxic environments and racial discrimination requires proactive and transparent efforts. Here are some concrete recommendations for improvement:
1. Implement a Zero-Tolerance Policy on Discrimination
Develop and enforce a zero-tolerance policy for racism, harassment, and toxic behavior.
Ensure this policy is clearly communicated to all employees during onboarding and through regular training sessions.
Outline clear consequences for violations of this policy, including disciplinary actions or termination.
2. Provide Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Training
Conduct mandatory DEI training for all employees, including leadership, to educate them on unconscious bias, microaggressions, and the importance of cultural sensitivity.
Focus on creating awareness of how racial discrimination and toxic behaviors impact individuals and the organization.
3. Establish Clear Reporting Mechanisms
Create an anonymous reporting system where employees can safely report cases of discrimination or toxic behavior without fear of retaliation.
Appoint a dedicated HR representative or ombudsman to handle complaints with sensitivity and confidentiality.
4. Hold Leadership Accountable
Train managers and supervisors to model and enforce respectful and inclusive behavior.
Assess leadership performance based on their ability to create and maintain a positive, inclusive work environment.
5. Encourage Open Communication
Foster a culture of trust where employees feel safe voicing their concerns without fear of reprisal.
Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, surveys, or focus groups to understand employee experiences and identify areas for improvement.
6. Promote Diverse Hiring Practices
Commit to diverse recruitment efforts to create a workforce that reflects a variety of backgrounds and perspectives.
Use blind recruitment processes to reduce bias in hiring decisions.
7. Celebrate Diversity
Actively celebrate and recognize cultural events, holidays, and achievements of employees from diverse backgrounds to foster inclusion and respect.
Create Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) where underrepresented groups can share their experiences and suggest initiatives for improvement.
8. Regularly Review Workplace Culture
Conduct periodic external audits of workplace culture and policies to identify problem areas.
Use employee feedback to measure progress and make necessary adjustments.
9. Provide Mental Health Support
Offer access to mental health resources, such as counseling services or employee assistance programs, to help employees cope with the effects of toxic environments or discrimination.
10. Lead by Example
Leadership should visibly demonstrate commitment to inclusivity by addressing issues promptly and modeling respectful behavior.
Publicly acknowledge and apologize for past mistakes (if applicable), and outline actionable steps being taken toward improvement.
By implementing these measures, employers can work toward eliminating toxic environments and racial discrimination, creating a workplace where all employees feel valued, supported, and respected
