Communication
Management should participate more in the team meetings and exchange with the eployees (more discussions, less presentations)
- Always happy to go to work
- Dojo space to make exercise
- Massage every month
- Ping pong table
- Nerf guns
- Flexible hours
- Home office
- Part-time possible
- Long holidays possible
- In general they are awesome, lot of interesting people
- Some others with the It-Was-Better-Before syndrom
- Managment listen to what we have to say
- Some top-down decisions
- Nice open space with silent meeting rooms or places to isolate
- I could choose my computer and operating system, I can order a new one it when it gets too old or broken
- Big (too big :)) table and a comfortable chair for my workplace
- Very good team communication: daily, weekly, retrospective meetings
- Could do better about inter-office communication
- Could do better about management being aware of day-to-day working issues for the teams
- Could do better about announcing the leaves
- Lot of liberty to work on what I like
- Some disinterest about old projects so the same people do the boring tasks
Good starting point after university or the like.
In the last two years there was a big drain of good people as well as loss of interesting projects.
The image used to be better some years ago.
A somewhat unclear system that relies heavily on holding talsks and attending conferences. Both interessting for juniors, but...
The wage could be much better if management would be done properly.
The managment seems to be some what intransparent and tries to delegate a lot of its tasks to the teams. Decisions are not taken or can not be understood.
Very good within the team. Not that good from "above".
- Employee and family friendly
- Good salary schema
- Attention to ethics
- Attention to environement
- Good support for personal development
- Nothing
Liip is a very interesting company if you are able to take responsabilities and initiate. There is plenty of opportunity to develop ideas and therefor each team is pretty independent and act as a small unit within the company. Lot of freedom, trust and sharing. This is very motivating. Supporting to work part time is definitely a plus.
Thre financial rewards as not as high as they are in the industry. Nevertheless seen the level of independence, trust and freedom, it's extremely correct. It all depend what you expect and want.
Really good atmosphere, beside the interesting work we joke a lot.
Liip tries to get a good and techy image in conferences, and I think it's working quite well.
You are never asked to do overtime, we work with the scrum methodology, meaning we plan the work for the next 2-3 weeks taking into account the team capacity.
If you did some overtime yesterday, just leave earlier today if you want.
You can work at home, but you have to coordinate with your team of course.
Liip gives you yearly time and money to improve yourself. You can improve your technical, but also your soft skills.
Beside that, we have 1-2 techdays per year with workshops, and 1-2 weekly talks from colleagues to share the knowledge.
The salary is good but could be more transparent. They try to do it fair, but it's a challenge...
Liip is "green", meaning they encourage you to take public transport (you get half-fare travelcard), they pay green electricity, etc.
We are constructive between us, and since I work at Liip I've only seen 1 real conflict.
Not many colleagues over 45
The office I work at is in the middle of Lausanne, with sun and everything.
We get all the hardware we need to do the job, we also have a ping-pong table on the terrace for the breaks: this is really awesome! We also organize a local contest this year between web agencies.
At Liip we always try to be innovative. Of course some projects don't allow it, but usually you can try new technologies, have budget to make a proof of concept, and eventually implement the technology you chose of course. You even have the proof by checking the Best of Swiss Web awards, where Liip regularly wins a price.
Liip also has now a large-enough size and reputation to get contracts for big websites, which are always more interesting than a simple showcase website.
So verdient kununu Geld.
