Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich

Interesting work, exiting products, secure Environment, good pay.

Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich

People Management (career possibilities & transparancy, HR Support) and the immediate work Environment (slow & outdated IT, old-fashioned Offices).

Verbesserungsvorschläge

Re-think HR: make it employee-centric, fast and transparent. IT: ...all well known I guess (since long). Re-think Offices: there are so many great examples out there how modern Offices can look like, and I am absolutely confident that a modern workplace has a positive Impact on the business

Kommunikation

Communaction improved a lot in the recent years with a new employee platform, attractive employee magazines etc. Managers are encouraged to interact with their Teams, Management informs the workforce via Blogs and Video Messages etc.

Work-Life-Balance

Good WLB, e.g. home-Office is becoming normal now (though only one day/week). Work in Weekends and evenings is rare. No "face-time" culture perceived.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

In my case I have a great Manager who is also open to topics such as home office, but this is not the case everywhere in Airbus.

Gleichberechtigung

Women pushed massively in leadership roles which is good. Occasionally I have the Feeling though that being a male in this Company is becoming a disadvantage...

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen

Quite an old workforce, which is not bad per se, but Airbus should take care to bring in enough younger People, ideally from other Companies, to bring in fresh ideas.

Arbeitsbedingungen

One of the few things that could be improved is the IT and Office Environment. Often Problems with IT (slow, not functioning, not integrated). IT Support is OK, but the underlaying Problems remain. Offices are in many sites a old fashioned, although initiatives exist to Change this.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

Payment is above average, several benefits offered. Company cars as part of your package only come in at medium Management Levels.

Karriere/Weiterbildung

Career paths, Ratings of Jobs etc. are very intransparent. Example: two people doing a similar job in different departments have a different job rating (and thus payment). Upward mobility is low, especially in an Environment where Management layers are being reduced. Don't go to Airbus for a fast career.
