Completely down the drain
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Always a punctual payment of our wages
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
I have no further words, see above
Verbesserungsvorschläge
Don't fire us?
Arbeitsatmosphäre
I have never personally seen upper management of a company destroy a company culture this effectively and fast. In the timespan of about a year, ALDI went from a company who genuinely seemed to care about the employee level.. to a company where nothing is safe and anyone could be fired or outsourced. The claim is that it has to be done to stay profitable... But they're firing people with a speed that implies bankruptcy. None of the employees and most of the Managers are afraid, angry, upset. It is no longer a good place to work
Kommunikation
Upper management has started one if the worst change management processes I have seen in my life. Devoid of empathy and driven by greed.
ALDI is no longer what it was, time will tell what rises from the ashes
Kollegenzusammenhalt
The only bright side is us colleagues now hanging together... We face the guillotine with black humor and laugh where we can. The colleagues have always been the best about working here... I hope that at least survives the current onslaught
Work-Life-Balance
In all fairness the work life balance has always been good at ALDI. Good example is the absence of a company cellphone, and the fact Managers are forbidden to contact employees outside of work hours
Vorgesetztenverhalten
I have no more words, worst management since the recent CEO change.
Interessante Aufgaben
Usually quite okay, but since I started working at ALDI 6 years ago I've undergone at least three major transformation, now this crazy firing project, and five team changes... It can be fun, but then they'll change everything
Gleichberechtigung
As far as I can tell it's fair, but I am a white dude.. so what do I know
Umgang mit älteren Kollegen
I am in my thirties, I can't really judge this
Arbeitsbedingungen
Since the new board and new CEO... Catastrophic. I think this will take many years before it potentially recovers, if at all
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
Management cares nothing about us employees, we're just a cost to them. And cost need to be cut
Gehalt/Benefits
The income is above average, at least, for now
Image
Since the new CEO, completely down the drain.
Besides this, all Extras are cut: no more company party, no celebrations, no company run. There is nothing left. According to ALDI: every euro matters. Yet expat directors costing the company 500k a year are fine
Karriere/Weiterbildung
Difficult to make career, there are only four employee levels... If you want a step up you have to fight really hard for it
