Good business model, great pay. Lacks some perspective and self-reflection

Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich

I love that audibene is fast-moving (still). There is little tolerance for bullsh*t processes, unnecessary and redundant work, and over-engineered solutions. This unfortunately often leads to messy/chaotic setups so the challenge is to find a balance here. The larger the company gets, the more impact the failures will have on the business

Verbesserungsvorschläge

Management (and longterm employees) are quite blinded by their own ideals of what the company should be, as opposed to what the actual reality is. It is believed they have some of the most unique principles/working environments/practices etc. but if you`ve worked in a few places you`ll notice that its just another one on the block that really isn`t doing things much better or differently. I have definitely worked in places that had much more innovative approaches.
Get some perspective and compare the current reality to your company values. Ive seen companies involuntarily slide into becoming corporate just like the rest, all the while Management preaching the exact opposite. You gotta follow up on your ideals. Otherwise they simply remain just that, an ideal.

Arbeitsatmosphäre

Its ok. You need about a year or so until you get accepted into the team but then you may even get invited to some after-work activities. At other companies this is a courtesy given to any newcomer by their fellow employees.

Kommunikation

People often use the wrong communication method/tool. This is in part because there are many communication tools with no clear strategy which to use for what. Since its a sales-dominated company, everything is designed for the sales team, which love instantly calling people at work and aren`t too accustomed with modern communication tools so they prefer email and skype-like chat programs which inefficient and honestly outdated for collaboration and keeping track of commitments to team members.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

Teams stick together

Work-Life-Balance

I keep hearing about Home Office being encouraged but this may just be designed for the Sales team, again since the majority of the company is Sales. Other teams dont get the same encouragement or even if they do, its not the reality.
On your first day, you get told (verbally and in written format) that work starts at 9AM sharp and that one is definitely followed through in reality. Presence is valued more than performance/results/expertise.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

This can vary greatly on who it is, but some areas have inexperienced leadership, which in of itself isnt that bad but when those guys then actively micromanage those they hired to take over the areas they dont understand, it becomes ridiculous. You should trust those you hire and give them full responsibility for their area.

Interessante Aufgaben

There is lots of interesting and challenging work. No day is the same as the last. The company is always open for changes / challenging the status quo.

Gleichberechtigung

I dont see any issues here, but also cant help but notice the tightly-knit male german circles closer to the top which believe that non-germans (and possibly females) can do a better job than them. I think thats slowly changing though, by being proven otherwise i guess.

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen

There are plenty of older employees and they feel very welcomed and get treated well.

Arbeitsbedingungen

Everyone knows (and feels!) the pain of the horrible desk chairs. I would understand if it was a startup that you work with what you got. Not only is it not a startup (especially considering the numbers) but since we all sit 8+ hours a day for a living, it really is bad for your back in the longrun. Im not even gonna talk about the concert of loud squeaky sounds generated every 10 seconds by approx 100 chairs on an open floor. Other than that, its an OK office space in a slightly rundown interior.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

I have to say the salaries here are very fair

Image

The customer service is excellent and we receive letters of gratitude from happy customers all the time. You do feel like you are bringing quality to people`s lives again, which is definitely nice.

Karriere/Weiterbildung

If you go the extra mile (although this mile should be measured more by results, not time) you can move big things in the company. At the same time, i see lots of people who bring good value to the company in the same position for 3+ years. I have to wonder why that is
