Verbesserungsvorschläge

I was introduced to Austin Fraser by a Rec to Rec recruiter and after Austin Fraser's initial interest I had a Skype interview around 1.5 weeks later.

First Interview: Skype

This is an English-only interview that was very pleasant. We talked about my career to date, KPIs at my last employer (also a Recruitment Company) & specific career choices I have made. I would recommend to also know your successes and 'numbers' (deals made, customers won) at that step of the interview.
I was then invited for a personal interview by the operations managers and received a detailed & personalised presentation that outlined who would take part in my interview, how it was structured, that there would be a presentation and what they wanted me to present about (What I think makes a good recruitment consultant, what the usual day of a consultant looks like, what I want to achieve in the first 6 months of employment, why they should decide for me, why I think they are a great employer) etc. Afterwards, I also received a call from the ops manager to personally talk me through the steps of the interview - I loved that as I was able to ask additional questions and felt very welcome.

Personal interview and presentation

The morning of my interview I was warmly welcomed, my presentation was already on screen and everyone made sure I had enough water & coffee. The ops manager and two other senior managers took part. After my 10-15 minute presentation we went over every slide and additional questions were asked. I received very honest and helpful feedback on my slides. Then the managers asked further questions, such as what my weekly targets were and how I went about achieving them. Here I received the feedback that I was underselling myself a bit and may have stayed a bit too vague in my answers. The team took some time out to discuss among themselves and quite frankly - I thought "All right, this was it, they will come back, thank me for my efforts and farewell me". But no, they came back in and we went on with the interview. I then had the time to ask any questions from team structure over commission structure to expectations from the company's side. Everything was explained to me very well and I was also allowed to see the cool office and meet another team member.

What I really liked

I liked how the team went with me preferences of what I wanted to know & do in the interview.
Another thing that blew me away was the training programme they have for all seniority levels with helpful and approachable on-site trainers...basically the company takes great care of their consultants to help them be successful.
I love that there are great peers and managers around that act as great examples. All of them seem to be approachable high achievers one can look up to.

The personal interview took around 3 hours.
On the grounds of my personal situation at the moment I decided not to join a consultancy at this point in time, however, I am more than keen to revisit my application with Austin Fraser in a few months time and can't wait to hear how the have grown even further by then.
