Remote working hardly accepted
Verbesserungsvorschläge
When I joined the company’s HQ few years back, I was enthusiastic about working for an inspiring and future-oriented premium automotive corporation.
However, barely anything is left from my initial motivation and dedication.
After two years of Covid pandemic, solely remote working, record results and great teams, that were rising to these new challenges and seizing opportunities, the company’s conclusion was to “force” back employees to the office.
Works council is aiming to establish a working culture without a physical presence ratio. However, in the current working culture the personal performance and needs of individuals and teams do not count. Physical presence is key. Especially, when you aim for a management career it is essential to be on-site. There is a huge gap between external communication and internal reality about the company’s working culture.
This cultural transformation will not change from one day to the other. But without management support this process will be unnecessarily slow, exhausting and inefficient.
