Interesting work, but major cultural issues driven by HR leadership
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Modern working conditions.
Very interesting tasks.
A dynamic and professionally interesting environment.
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Abuse of power.
A culture of fear.
Lack of transparency.
Preferential treatment of certain individuals.
No fair development opportunities if you do not belong the the preferred ones.
Verbesserungsvorschläge
Take HR compliance seriously - even the foundation should be informed about that.
Reduce the culture of fear.
Put an end to abuse of power.
Create real transparency.
Treat employees fairly.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
I did not experience the work atmosphere as trusting or supportive. Instead, I often had the impression that control and observation played a bigger role than genuine trust in employees. For me, this created insecurity rather than motivation.
A central issue was the role HR leadership seemed to play in the company culture. Instead of acting as a neutral, professional, and trustworthy function, HR often felt like a power center with a strong influence on internal dynamics, and how people were treated. This had a noticeable negative effect on trust and transparency.
Image
Many seem to perceive the company more as a ticking time bomb than as a stable and trustworthy employer.
Work-Life-Balance
The workload seemed very unevenly distributed to me. While some people appeared to be treated with a great deal of flexibility, others were put under considerable pressure. I found this imbalance frustrating.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
The company presents itself as modern, but in practice the hierarchy was very visible. What stood out most to me was that HR did not always appear to operate as a supporting function, but rather as a highly influential actor in day-to-day power structures. That was one of the most problematic aspects of the workplace.
Very limited opportunities, unless you are among the preferred individuals. Equal development opportunities were not something I experienced in practice.
Gehalt/Benefits
No longer competitive in my view. Many people seem to use the company more as a stepping stone than as a place for long-term professional development.
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
Not lived in a credible way. For example, plastic bottles everywhere do not match a sustainability claim that is meant to be taken seriously but it's not the only thing, there are events where so much is wasted, it is insane!
Kollegenzusammenhalt
Team spirit could be positive among colleagues, but this seemed fragile. My impression was that employees who were perceived as aligned with HR leadership had a different experience from those who were not. This created a sense of favoritism and unequal treatment.
Umgang mit älteren Kollegen
Are seen as the ones who should leave the company
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Outwardly, the company may present itself as modern and low-hierarchy. In my experience, however, hierarchies were very noticeable. What I found especially difficult was that certain internal roles seemed, from my perspective, to exercise influence beyond what their official function would suggest.
Arbeitsbedingungen
The company offers modern working conditions, interesting tasks, and a professional-looking environment. On the surface, it appears attractive. In my experience, however, these positive aspects were overshadowed by serious cultural problems.
Kommunikation
Communication felt selective and filtered. Important information did not seem to reach employees openly and consistently, while certain narratives were clearly pushed more strongly than others. As an employee, this created the impression that transparency depended less on professional standards and more on what senior HR leadership wanted communicated.
Gleichberechtigung
I did not experience the company as consistently fair or equal in its treatment of employees. To me, it felt as though the same standards did not apply to everyone.
Interessante Aufgaben
The tasks themselves are genuinely interesting and can be professionally rewarding.
