Start firing micro-mgmt. and former VW/AUDI/Porsche .. daugher company employees to be capable to foster a real Agile work environment. Get rid of VW IT to support software engineering and don't hinder it. I would even claim to get rid of all hubs and start with 1 hub and less remote work to foster a "CARIAD culture" instead of spread people that have nothing in common then the payslip.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
In case your mgr. is a former OEM-employed one, micro-mgmt. par excellence. VWs IT is blocking any Software development. The German "Bedenkenträger" and PPT heroes seem to be everywhere. Plus, suppliers carry out all the software engineering.
Kommunikation
There are indeed townhalls, still they are brutally boring and not inspiring at all. If you want a reason for leaving, join the townhall.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
Everyone works in home office. There is no "we are CARIAD feeling". It truly feels like a job where you just wait for the payslip.
Work-Life-Balance
There are projects one can work day and night. While there are others, where you do not need to work at all.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
As mentioned, micro-mgmt. To some extend, you will see projects where VWs C-level and higher mgmt. AUDI are daily engaging with CARIADs working staff. Mgmt. is not pushing back, rather joining the side of VW/AUDI. Honestly, if you were not part of VW/AUDI/Porsche/any other daughter of these, you are the workhorse and will see little growing opportunity.
Interessante Aufgaben
Well, they do have interesting work. However, focusing on it as a software engineer is extremely hard. One has to work daily around of project/product/... PPT heros that don't understand software and solely understand handling suppliers. Overall, CARIAD is merely a company steering suppliers. It is for certainly not a software company, and it will never be.
Gleichberechtigung
I mean, mainly they talk whenever possible German. Even though the company is quite internationally present. Girls are merely in supporting roles, quite normal in IT. However, former OEM-colleagues have privileges compared to new joiners. E.g. they can always leave within 3 years at CARIAD. Hence, they can run the company into the ground and leave. Very inspiring.
Arbeitsbedingungen
Laptop, mobile phone, login card and other equipment all fine. VWs IT seems to hate working people, hence they are blocking you for "security reasons" whenever possible.
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
I guess if you end up lucky, they pay very well. On top, they have a bAV and you might end up with a company car. So, big compensation to neglect the downsides.

It seems the media likes to crush CARIAD as hard as possible. Nevertheless, the inofficial voice of CARIAD seems to be Handelsblatt, however employees don't get a subscription to CARIADs voice.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
So far, I solely noticed that mgmt. cares about "deliver, deliver, deliver, deliver, deliver". Honestly, if you want a career don't join especially as a software engineer as you might end up with a black mark in your CV.
