Management should care more to make their employees stronger. Fingerpointing at others or asking "what would you suggest instead" before listening is hurtful.
A manager not liking his own job cannot expect much motivation from his subordinates.
Just pointing at standard technologies used is not a good enough answer for how censhare product can be rebuild using these technologies.

The product is hard to judge since it has a crazy amount of functionality and custom installations. There is not much development any more for the existing versions. New technology stack has been anounced some years ago already but never been prooved as a beta version. That's forcing people to search for other options.
