The product itself had real potential, and at its best, the team culture was genuinely good. Some colleagues were talented and committed people who deserved better.

What was once a promising company has become a textbook case of how poor leadership destroys culture. Open communication is preached loudly — but employees who actually practice it face consequences. Feedback that makes leadership uncomfortable tends to backfire on the person giving it, not improve anything. Trust is gone. The atmosphere is defined by fear, not collaboration.

HR presents itself as a neutral party, but in practice functions as an extension of management interests. Misconduct by leaders was raised through proper channels — nothing happened. That's not a people function, that's a cover function.

Verbesserungsvorschläge

Stop using the Kununu response template. The polished "thank you for your feedback, please contact HR reply is insulting when the issues raised were already brought to HR internally — and ignored. If HR had acted with integrity when it had the chance, these reviews wouldn't exist. Responding here with corporate language doesn't undo that.

A few years ago, the mood was still excellent and positive. Later, an atmosphere of fear and pressure prevailed. The establishment of a works council was bombarded by management and ultimately prevented; none of the initiators are still with the company.

For many years, the company has been unable to get out of the hole: bugs in the product, dissatisfied employees and customers, waves of resignations. No stabilization in sight. Not everyone may have recognized this yet.

My colleagues at the same level are the most positive. In my opinion, the poor management style brings the employees closer together.

In my opinion, this is the company's greatest weakness. Disagreements at management level often filter through to employees, and everything seems uncoordinated, misaligned and directionless.

Communication among colleagues is good when you know who is responsible for what and who your colleagues are. Management is inaccessible or ignores suggestions.

Gehalt/Benefits

Salary is mediocre. Middle management is squeezed between (rightly) demanding employees and obstructive management. The payment of bonuses (if contractually agreed) is always a huge controversy.

Gleichberechtigung

Some people never receive a pay raise or title adjustment, while others change their titles regularly.

Interessante Aufgaben

The same tasks for years, because nothing ever really gets finished. Requirements change faster than implementation allows (usually due to changing opinions internally), and resources are distributed indiscriminately – usually not where they are needed.

100% Vertrauen in jeden Mitarbeiter, jeder kann wirklich genau so arbeiten, wie er am produktivsten ist, auch ohne Vorgaben bezüglich Zeit oder Ort. Es ist jedes Mal ein Event, wenn wir uns treffen und manche Kollegen kommen regelmäßig in unser Stuttgarter Büro, es kann aber jeder durchgehend im Home Office arbeiten, wenn er das lieber möchte.

Keine Stelle ist fest definiert, sondern wird an die Stärken und Schwächen des Mitarbeiters angepasst, man kann sich außerdem in jede Richtung entwickeln

personally I couldn't imagine a better place. You need to be proactive but have an amazing team. Work tasks are very diverse so it won't get boring and you get the chance to work from anywhere. The company does care about their employees a lot and makes sure everyone feels welcome and gets their chance.

You got the chance to basically work from anywhere. Love the team, even though it's fully remote you stay in touch with everyone and at least once every month you get the chance to see everyone.

Supersonic growth means a lot of change in a short period of time. This goes hand in hand with everything being super exciting but also the occasional chaos. Most departments are understaffed and there's a lack of strategy and implemented processes.

despite everyone works remotely, with weekly company calls and regular department calls, in my opinion no one feels lonely. and company events like meet ups in the stuttgart office or meet ups where the entire company goes on working-vacation together in different locations is just awesome
