Great benefits at the price of mental health
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Pays well and gives good benefits.
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Political work requirement. It doesn't matter how great you perform, it matters who likes you. Not seeing you performing well, no, who LIKES you.
Verbesserungsvorschläge
Vice Presidents, Senior Directors, and Directors have been on their role without any change for too long. They're the main problem of the company. If you don't change them, the burnout isn't going to get better.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
It is extremely political. In my team, the Data Science blames Performance Analysts, Performance Analyst blames Data Analytics, Data Analytics blames Product Management, PMs blame Tech, Tech blames Data Science. Nobody is willing to solve a problem before making sure who must be blamed.
Burnout is extremely common. I had a colleague who took one month of burnout leave. I saw her on 3rd week. The moment the work came up, she lost her patience and bursted into tears.
Payment and benefits are good at the price of your mental health, unless you can play it well.
Kommunikation
Depends on the manager, some do and some don't.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
360 feedback and peakon is revenge time. If you have beef with someone, don't raise it with them directly. Use the bi-annual feedbacks to sting. That's what managers expect and if you don't play the game, you're going to get hurt.
Work-Life-Balance
Perfect. There are so much redundancy at work. The company can keep its operation with 1/3 of the current employees. So there's not enough work for everyone :)
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Depends on your luck, some are angels and some are hard to tolerate. Mine once read the anonymous 360 feedbacks for me with the name of the person who wrote it.
It destroyed any kind of trust in me. How can I write feedback knowing that managers allow themselves to read them with name?
Interessante Aufgaben
Again depends on your luck, if your project is good, then you're having a nice time, otherwise, you're cooked.
Umgang mit älteren Kollegen
We don't have anyone older than 40s. Usually above 40s are leaving by MSA which is pushed to them. I am not sure if they take it willingly or it is from undue pressure.
