Nette Kolleg:innen
smart working, some colleagues and someone of HR staff
A toxic place whit a lot of hierarchies: there is a system of micromanagement that does treat you like a child that need support. The competence of leads is awkward. If you are ambitious, you will not have many opportunities for career advancement.
More money, more possibilities of career, better selection of leads and management
Very toxic. They embrace inclusivity, but if you are not German, they do not assign you many tasks.
you can work at home and there is a working abroad chance
There are some refresher courses, they paid for that, but despite this, there are not many career opportunities.
There are few nice people, but a lot of gossip and bad competition. Many people think they are really creative, but they are just arrogant and often don't even say hello to you in the morning.
Chaotic and completely non-transparent. You could be dismissed from one day to the next even if your performance is very good.
Low with increases once a year
Always same projects and same stuff to do
Rating based on my personal view and impression. I am a seasoned professional, so I have seen some agencies from the inside.
This was once an inspiring work environment and in some corners you can still find that.
What's mainly left now are imho all the downsides of a big corporate without its benefits. Consistent restructurings incl layoffs, repetitive work, long hours, high work load, made up and unfair performance processes, unnecessary hierarchies, internal competition and heavy weight politics while pay and career growth are stagnating.
A good taste of that corporate atmosphere, are the half-automated answers by HR to negative feedback on this platform.
There are still some brilliant colleagues and the mutual support was always exceptional during the beginning of my time there. But the truly talented colleagues are leaving steadily or have been burned out after years of "hustling". Moral got lower each quarter and the atmosphere is more and more compromised by (forced) competitiveness.
Offices, tech and equipment are great.
Initial salaries & benefits match market standards. If you don't plan to stay longer, you will be fine.
Many great female leads left or were let go recently. Newly established management roles are heavily dominated by the same type of male..
No matter your level or department, you will be stuck with repetitive projects and tasks. If you are good at what you are doing, you just get more of it. Your title might change, but your work won't ...at least if you aren't part of the core group of individuals (mostly Dutch or British) who are close to the founders/upper management.
If you have a strong work ethic and want to truly grow in your career you can build the same or even better experience at other agencies that are more professional and stable.
If you are really thinking about taking on a role in this agency, ask detailed questions about the clients and typical tasks you will be working on. The pace, the team size, the expectations and development opportunities. Listen very well to the answers you receive!
Salary increases are rejected on the justification that the new salary would otherwise fall within the band of a higher position. At the same time, however, it is completely acceptable for the salary bands of higher positions to overlap with lower ones. This selective argumentation clearly shows that it is not about a fair and transparent system, but about keeping salary adjustments as small as possible. Equality looks different.
Simply pay your employees according to market value and reward their performance. In this way, you could perhaps counteract declining motivation, longer time-consuming activities due to a lack of motivation. You are moving into a vicious spiral. Less payment, less motivation, even less payment, even less motivation. Where do you think this is supposed to lead in the long term?
You are “parked” on tasks - there has been no further training for years. It is pointed out that they exist. Yes, they “officially” exist. Under the guise of further training, they are rejected on request.
Don't really stand behind the employees - in some cases they probably can't help it, as they are only employees themselves.
It's okay if you've just started and negotiated an okay salary at the start. You can then stay for 2-4 years until your non-increasing salary is no longer in line with the market and you have to change jobs. As there are no further training and career opportunities here, it's not worth staying longer than 2-3 years.
If you are there for 3-5 years, it is common that you can effectively earn less than you started with due to inflation, as salaries only increase minimally. 2-3% a year is not uncommon. Despite promotion, it's common to start at the bottom of the salary band as it overlaps with your previous position. It is therefore possible that colleagues who are below your position earn as much or more than colleagues who have much more responsibility and experience. In my opinion, this is a perfidious ploy to justify a very low increase. The only possibility to get a salary increase is to change your job. And I feel this is what they want you to do rather than just paying more.
There is a lot of talk about B-Corp and equality. With such different salaries for the same work and skills, I wouldn't call that equal.
Geht so.
Hauptsache man steht selber mega geil da.
Body leasing as it worst, no upfront information and communication plus bad expectation management. In my case, I was pushed into some pre-discovery workshop for a client in order to sell a whole frontend team to a round of architects.
Micro management as part of project delivery and pre-sales which allows no room for personal creativity and design approaches. I experienced such from several people and in different setups/situations.
Unfulfilled expectations from initial role descriptions and introduction during application process. It was told during my interview about upcoming tech stack and projects. Actually nothing really came to reality.
Avoid fix price projects with unclear scope and wrong expectations to customers.
Cold and tense
Strong top down, missed transparency, respect and appreciation
Mainly via Slack, rar on personal level, not transparent and not respectful
Definitely not, mostly unfitting on personal skills and money first approach.
spannende Kundenprojekte
So verdient kununu Geld.
