Big organizational issues
Arbeitsatmosphäre
The atmosphere is mainly dependant on departments and direct colleagues. However it is missing unity, identity and corporate feeling in overall.
The high management does not care much about its employees.
As the company is growing very fast since 2 years, it is a challenge to onboard in best conditions.
Kommunikation
Meetings are often not well organised and a waste of time.
Communication is not working well between the departments, due to lack of organization and responsibilities not clearly distributed.
Also high management is not transparent to the workforce.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
Depends. Some colleagues bring very valuable support to the teams! Others are unfortunately often at the wrong positions, lacking skills and bringing more confusion to a company not able to structure itself.
The projects are also missing prioritization, and clear timeline to progress step by step. Overall not a high standard of professionalism.
Work-Life-Balance
This is pretty good, as industry standard: flexible working time, 40hrs / week, 30 days holidays, and currently 2 days home office / week.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Very highly variable, depending on the department.
In my personal opinion, lacking of support and guidance to the team, tasks are not prioritized and organised, scope is unclear. Missing also clear definition of deliverables to have a good overview on how to tackle the topics in a efficient and structured way.
Interessante Aufgaben
Could be very interesting project to bring back to life the Dornier 328, however there is very little (technical and financial) means enabled to make sure we can succeed.
Employees are spending so much time to discuss topics and are blocked by every minor tasks due to lack of procedure for every single topic. Therefore not progressing as it should.
Gleichberechtigung
I think there is not much difference of treatment between women and men, or older and younger employees. This is most of the time well mixed, and working well between all of us.
Umgang mit älteren Kollegen
The management did not take the opportunity to integrate the long standing employees to the new project! Create some internal tensions, misunderstanding and loss of synergy and knowledge!
Arbeitsbedingungen
The company is easily reachable by car, but not by public transport! Not very sustanaible...
Due to the high expansion of the workforce, the company had to re-arrange its buildings several times. They work on improving the situation, which is currently pretty bad with the employees being spread over 6 buildings on the airport field. No shuttle between the buildings is in place.
The building are generally renovated, and well furnished. IT Hardware is good.
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
Despite a sustainability Board including employees from different department, it feels that too little is done for a company marketing on their environmental impact.
There is food vending machines from local / fair suppliers (Foodji), and a partnership to sustainable website (FutureBens).
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
No transparency with regards to salary grid and fairness among the employees. Salary increase is hardly negotiable, and no increase is given based on the inflation nor any bonus at the end of the year.
Barely any social benefits i can think of.
Image
While the great historical image of Dornier is still existing, it does not help much Deutsche Aircraft.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
No real career evolution in place.
Very limited training offer, and a general mentality of leaving the employee on their own (learn by doing / failing).
