Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich

- fruit baskets (though not enough for the amount of people)
- energetic and lively environment

Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich

- office
- lacking feedback culture
- low salaries with even lower increase
- no canteen or any kind of meal-subsidy
- great amount of definitions and processes kills speed and freedom (and can be very frustrating)
- student treatment (sometimes)

Verbesserungsvorschläge

- don't try to just acquire new employees, also try to make the old ones stay and be happy
- if the office is not there yet, give the freedom to work wherever (e.g. more HO)
- be actually open to feedback and not just the stuff that's nice to hear
- don't try to kill all freedom with defined processes and paperwork

Arbeitsatmosphäre

In general the atmosphere is lively and energetic. Fairness is ok. Start-up atmosphere is there (even though that is pretty much the only left-over of being a start-up).

Kommunikation

Transparency is okay-ish. The monthly townhalls give insights into a more surface-level status of the company but often times important information is given out way too late or simply not updated if there is new information available.
It's also not always clear where to get necessary information for a task.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

Mostly pretty good. But there is also a lot of behind-the-back talking without being honest to the respective person face-to-face.
Towards students there sometimes is a "this-is-cheap-labor"-attitude and that they should be excluded more often than not. Students should get the chance to learn something not do dirty work.

Work-Life-Balance

Flexible working hours - but restricted to core working hours (9:30 AM to 3 PM). Generally not allowed to be not available during these hours.
Vacation can be applied for on relatively short notice. Work-times are restricted to be during core-working hours and it is not appreciated not to adhere to group working hours.
Home-Office is restricted to two days a week.
Ten hours overtime per month are covered by the salary.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

Targets sometimes seem to be not thought through, decision-making is done without actually consulting experts from development - TLDR: It shows that management doesn't have a lot of experience in that field.
There also is some questionable behavior in management. Some people seem to be too attached to their position to really let their words follow actions (e.g. "open-door" and "feedback appreciated").
Stepping on toes could lead to very unfavorable situations.

Interessante Aufgaben

It varies. Since there is a lot of tasks left over from previous developers (since back then the man-power was not there), tasks can be tedious and repetitive. Also when doing new tasks, fast is preferred over proper.
Also, tons of processes and definitions are created to define work. Generally this is good. But it already becomes too much so everybody is just hung up with filing paperwork or waiting for approval of various other people.

Gleichberechtigung

Hard to judge but since it's a super fast growing company, they can't and are not picky. It feels like everybody gets a chance.

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen

There's no older colleagues.

Arbeitsbedingungen

Laptop etc. is state-of-the-art. The office is not. Big open space, no sound insulation, no walls, no room dividers, lighting triggered by movement detectors (so constant on and off), kitchen is not outfitted for so many employees, no height-adjustable desks...If one is unlucky, they even have to sit in hallway-like areas or have a table which is 120 cm x 70 cm (with two screens and a laptop). That's very unpractical for a developer.
Air conditioning is nice.
Since many employees are relatively young, many do not care for some of these things and just live the moment.

Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein

Doesn't exist. Garbage separation is a good example for that and also acquisition of material and parts.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

Wages are average at maximum. Salary negotiations are not allowed and salary increase is low enough to be offending.
Yearly bonus is paid according to performance. This is evaluated by management.

Most employees are very happy with the company's image.

Karriere/Weiterbildung

Doing trainings is possible and welcome.
Personal development in the company structure is hard due to managements attachment to their respective positions and even though they have crazy workloads (which makes them unavailable most times) they don't want to delegate parts of their responsibilities to others.
