Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich

The best parts of Ebiquity for me have been the climate at the office, the positive change of management, and the honest care my colleagues and management have shown towards myself and other employees during trying times in our personal lives. I also really enjoy how much I continue to learn while working, whether doing a new task or listening to more experienced colleagues.

Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich

The workload can be very intense at times leaving little room to branch off into tasks in more interesting or new areas. The modern open office also means office dogs are not allowed as they cannot be efficiently separated from other employees who may fear or be allergic to them.

Verbesserungsvorschläge

For young professionals getting started in the industry, I think it would be more helpful to receive a more in depth training in various media rather than more or less being assigned and kind of getting stuck in one.

Arbeitsatmosphäre

The active and engaged BR team puts a lot of effort into making sure employers' opinions and concerns are not only heard by management, but they also find real solutions. A recent change in management I feel has also positively changed the overall feeling in the office of togetherness.

Kommunikation

Despite what some other comments here say, there are numerous ways the company provides for communicatation. Apart from the a physical comments/complaints box ran by the BR, numerous cross-team meetings, and quarterly check-ins with management, in weekly meetings we anonymously share how we are feeling and if the emotion is negative, management offers a private meeting for us to let them know the reasons why. The fact that those commenting here felt unable or discouraged to communicate, in my opinion, does not fit the Ebiquity I know. This however could well be due to changes in management though.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

My colleagues have gone above and beyond to help and teach me things when they already had a lot on their plate and I too always try to help my team where I can. Unfortunately, I feel the unity of coworkers is however tarnished by the seemingly high turnover rate of employees.

Work-Life-Balance

While we have a set amount of hours to work, the exact time you have to work to and from each day is very flexible. We can also work a lot from home, though for most employees we have to be at the office the majority of the time. The BR team also established a great Workcation program.

Moreover, I have witnessed from others and my own experience how management and colleagues can highly empathize and adapt to employees who may be having troubles outside of work, be it mental health issues or family problems. So everyone really sees how our private lives have priority over work at the end of the day.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

The past manager, in my opinion, was terrible at listening and stand-offish making the office feel sort of stiff much of the time in their presence. However, I feel the recent change in management has really help the climate im the office. While they are very friendly and down to earth, they still have the respect of being the manager. The new management is much more present both physically at the office and in conversations during company breakfast chats and after-work drinks.

Interessante Aufgaben

Unfortunately, many of us end up on strenuous, tedious tasks while having to put off learning more about, for example a different media that interests us more. Workloads are also pretty high due to there being a need for more employees, particularly during the peak season for audits.

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen

I was positively surprised when i started at Ebiquity to see the number of older adults employed. Due to their many years within the industry, my older colleagues are often given greater responsibilities and often help teach less experienced employees about the industry.

Arbeitsbedingungen

The new office is very modern and open, however this means at times it can get loud and it makes us have to consider our colleagues comfort level a lot more, meaning for example that office dogs are not allowed.

Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein

Internationally, Ebiquity has a sustainability group and a LGBTQIA+ group as well a day each year where each office gets the day off to donate their time and energy to a charity. Participation is highly encouraged in these groups for those who are interested and they also send out information and engage with the rest of the company. The sustainability group is particularly active in the Hamburg office.
