I regret working for Breuninger in IT department

Middle-level management is a complete disaster in this company. They have zero competencies and don’t appreciate good work. The only thing many of them appreciate is compliments. The more compliments you give to your boss, the more likely you are to stay in the company. As for career growth, you need to go above and beyond, go crazy. Personally, I didn’t see any significant career achievements from anyone I knew in the company. For the ones I knew, I know they have been waiting for a promotion for years already. You are much more likely to get fired than to get a promotion. I have seen people being fired for nothing. Some people were fired during probation while performing well and being good communicators. Based on the data I have, I see a pattern in how people are treated in the company. The ones who get the most hate are expats. I’m not at all trying to say that this company appreciates Germans, but expats received a special treatment there that I hadn’t seen anywhere else before. Unfortunately, I can’t go deeper into the details. My experience with Breuninger was awful. I regret working for this employer, and I recommend that all the people considering it, especially those who want to feel good about themselves and their work, find another employer. I found another employer with a much higher Kununu score (>4.4). The difference between that employer and Breuninger is huge.
