That depends very much on the department. In my case the freedom promised during the recruitment process did not correspond to reality at all. However, I have heard from others that they were allowed to live out the promised freedoms. That's more a matter of luck
In general, emnify has not understood how to advertise only the benefits that are actually granted.
Unfortunately, emnify's attitude towards leadership and appreciation is very difficult. The attitude tends to be that you should be happy to work there and that it wouldn't be any better elsewhere. Employees are therefore expected to hold back on criticism and instead be satisfied with what they have.
Not desirable for the company, because then they have to pay more and hey - you are already there so why should they do that?
But if you shout loud enough, your chances of getting promoted are definitely there!

My managers were really subterranean. I never had the feeling that they actually cared about me and my development. In principle, everyone here is closest to themselves and there are a lot of managers who exploit their position of power. In general, there are many people in positions of power who can simply sell themselves well. Perhaps the sales department at emnify would be more successful if all the managers would work there and sell the products with the same enthusiasm as they sell themselves and promote their qualities?
Transparent and open communication is a foreign word for emify
The salary is good. So if that's the most important aspect for you - go and sell your soul
In an international context, there is a lot of equality. Many different nationalities work at emnify, which is great. In that respect, there is definitely equality.
In terms of gender equality,they are unfortunately still stuck somewhere around 30 or 40 years ago.
Some of the management and the c-level unfortunately have a really limited view of the world in this regard. The company is therefore more likely to be recommended for men.
There are definitely interesting tasks. But here the principle applies: first come, first served.
So when you join and you are new, you get the tasks that the others don't want to do.

Change or improve the leadership team that people feel valued and get offered a safe space. Hier leaders who make decisions based in objective requirements and who really care for their teams.
Follow defined processes and set clear promotion guidelines.

Fairness and trust is missing in this company. No safe environment
The internal image doesn't seem so good as a lot of employees are unhappy with the communication, the Management Team, their decision-making and their lack of people focus.
Emnify offers flexibility and remote work which is nice. A minus is that you are obliged to take vacation during Christmas time and your yearly vacation balance will be reduced.
Overhours are not paid.
There is a budget for trainings, but noone knows how to request it and how much can be used. It is very unclear.
Also, they introduced career guidelines but if managers don't follow this process, it creates rather confusion.
When talking to new colleagues, you know that they pay them much more than people who are there for a longer time. For old employees, they don't even match market standards.

Not many old colleagues. And those who are there for a long time are underpaid compared to new hires.
Leadership doesn't involve employees in decisions. Very top down. They don't make data-driven decisions, it is more based in gut feeling and sympathy.
In conflicts, leaders don't protect employees and rather protect themselves first.
In general, the leadership behaviour worsened since 1.5 years.
Technical equipment is good. The office in berlin lost its atmosphere though due to a new office design. No air conditioning in berlin make summer days really difficult.
They try to improve communication but without success. All hands meetings often get postponed. Colleagues disappear and noone gets any information. There is no transparent communication.
Diversity is not a topic here. Few women or international people in Management positions and there seems to be no motivation to change that.
Tasks are interesting but there is a big imbalance in the workload of teams. Some teams are overstaffed and have nothing to do and others are overloaded.
They offer good stuff in the offices and do not save money on events and gifts.
They do not take feedback serious, this is sad. Changes are promised, but the leadership style from management area is very oldfashioned in some ways.
Take care for employees and listen to them, not only hire and fire.....
Is ok, many people stay at home, are never seen, some are often in the office, maybe they have a good atmosphere between each other, others maybe not?
Depends on yourself. There is a lot of work and projects what can be done, many people are completely into it and fully stuck. Others are able to ignore the pressure. Mental health has been an issue for long, but is not taking serious from HR.
They promis more than they offer. Also depends on the team and manager, if you get time to even educate yourself during work time.
Good salary for Berlin circumstances.
Depending on the teams, I think. Some spend a lot of time together, others just do their jobs. But also cross-over the teams there are good relationships.

Me and others have no goals set, the leadership even avoids tu evaluate frequently or only comments on what I am doing bad, but feedback back is not accepted at all.
Office in Berlin is amazing, coffee and different drinks are offered. IT-Equipment is offered as well, just ask what you need.
Not good, many (especially leadership) should be trained in communication skills.
I think there is a good balance between age, nationalities, gender - but in between the levels of experience there is a huge improvement possible. New hires seem to have better offers that older employees.

"schlecht" : keine freie Wahl der Arbeitsmaterialien (Apple gibt es nicht) / Nur weil es manche Sachen seit Jahren gibt, kann man sie trotzdem verbessern :)

Tolle und entspanne Arbeitsatmosphäre! Keine Misgunst unter den Kollegen und selbst kleinigkeiten werden regelmäßig gelobt. Man wird sehr schnell und sehr herzlich aufgenommen und hat mit Kollegen aus verschieden Teams Kontakt. Bisher die beste Atmosphäre in einem Berliner Start-Up!
Absolut gegeben! 30 Tage Urlaub im Jahr und flexibilität im Büro oder Remote zu arbeiten. Hier gibt es keinen festen start in den Arbeitstag, jeder plant seinen Start individuell.
Es könnte bessere Pläne für individuelle Förderung geben oder einheitliche Weiterbildungsbudgets für alle Level!
Gehalt ist bsolut in Ordnung und im Berliner Normbereich ! Es gibt die Möglichkeit der Altersversorgung durch Unterstützung der Firma.

It is a good working culture to work for. I like the atmosphere as people work cross-functional, exchange their expertise and also share insights in the teams success which spreads positive vibes.
I never had 30 days of holidays so this amount is very much appreciated. :)
Beside that, I like that I can schedule and organize my time the way I want and the way I need it. When I have a private appointment, I dont need to justify it. So there is a lot of trust in this company when it comes to working time.
Payroll is always punctual and salary is good.
As stated earlier, I like that we dont only work with our own team but also cross-departmental. But even in my team, we all have a different focus but still work with each other on projects to combine our strengths.
We do have experienced managers from whom we can learn.
What I like is that me and my manager work together on my goals. So, I dont only get numbers I should reach but it also makes me reflect on what is realistic.
Moreover, I appreciate that my manager always includes the whole team when there are new situations.
I am happy with the equipment I have and I think the meeting rooms are very well equipped too!
As mentioned, people share their success stories - no matter from which team (sales who won a new customer, product updates, marketing leads etc). Also we have a monthly all hands meeting where the different teams give us insights into their achievements and numbers. What I also appreciate a lot is that the management sends us surprise packages (for the companys birthday, as a "corona thank you" or for christmas). This makes me feel very appreciated.
I think, people have the same chances regardless of age, sex, nationality etc. But I think EMnify could improve when it comes to diversity. But I also see improvement here as they just promoted a female colleague to be in a lead position.
Never had such an interesting task before. I have a mixed role so it never gets boring. A lot of projects to work on with different stakeholders

Not fixable with some of the current employees because they have been there so many years and they control everything. It starts at the front desk and goes up to upper management.
The culture was terrible especially with more seasoned employees. It was like you see in bad American movies.

Despite what people say hear there's no communication. It's probably not true in all departments but it was the case in the area I worked. Especially the "friend circles" with the employees that have been at the company for several years.

We are an international team with a great collaboration aiming for the same vision. The individual employee can have an impact. Our management (from C-level to team lead) has an open door for everyone living a flat hierarchy throughout the organisation.
