There are some truly fantastic and dedicated people at the company who make the experience worthwhile. Unfortunately, many of them have had to leave due to the uncomfortable environment and the lack of growth and progression opportunities.
Hostility, favouritism and lack of transparency
There are many areas at the company that urgently need improvement.
• Recognition of hard work: While a few managers do this well, most tend to recognise only their favourites or those who seek visibility. Many employees’ contributions go unnoticed and are rarely met with a simple “thank you” or “well done.” Leadership should actively acknowledge both small wins and major achievements, as well as mistakes that lead to valuable learning. A true culture of appreciation needs to be developed.
• Promotion of only the most vocal employees: Too much weight is placed on loudness and visibility rather than actual impact. All team members and their contributions should be valued equally. Being outspoken does not automatically mean being effective.
• Lack of development plans: The People team has been talking about development and growth as a priority since last year, yet no concrete structures or plans have been implemented. Despite repeated messaging, nothing has meaningfully changed.
• No genuine psychological safety for feedback: Although direct feedback is strongly promoted, in practice it has created more negativity than openness in many teams. It does not encourage people to share their real opinions, as the environment does not feel truly safe.
• Leadership encouraging people to leave rather than retain them: Employees are sometimes told that “if enmacc is not the right place for them, they should leave.” This is counterproductive and inappropriate. Instead of pushing people out, leadership and HR should focus on understanding concerns and improving retention.
• Culture of exclusion and gossip: What was once a fun and collaborative environment has shifted into one marked by cliques, exclusion, gossip, and in some cases bullying and harassment. This is a serious issue that has not been adequately addressed.
• Unapproachable People team: The People team used to be accessible and supportive. Now, the very people meant to resolve conflicts and protect employees often appear performative in their empathy and not genuinely aligned with employees’ interests. Issues raised frequently lead to negative consequences rather than support.
• Poor retention and damaging dismissal practices: There have been several distressing terminations, including people later returning. Leadership seems unaware of the negative impact this has on morale, trust, and psychological safety. Employees increasingly fear consequences for associating with former colleagues, which has created a hostel-like, insecure environment.
• Lack of salary transparency and fairness: The company does not appear to comply with Germany’s legal requirements for salary transparency. Employees in the same roles are paid very differently, often without justification. Favouritism seems to play a role, with some of the highest-paid individuals contributing the least.
Overall, since the environment does not feel safe enough to express honest opinions internally, these review channels have become the only viable way to provide feedback. It is now up to the leadership team to take responsibility and initiate meaningful change.
The working equipment provided and phone contract
A few kind and genuine employees
More humane HR team and People Directors. The HR team is cold and not employee oriented. Just business focused.
Leadership team also needs to be more humane.
Fair salaries, they are relatively low for Munich and only favourites of the leaders or HR get promoted or high salaries. Also people who speak louder or are more extrovert get benefits when all types of people and backgrounds should be considered.
Just not a nice environment. Friendship focused, can feel like school environment and isolating. Happy to never go back and would not recommend. They delete reviews so all the honest and truthful ones are gone.
• Some colleagues are highly professional and genuinely supportive.
• Flexible work arrangements are theoretically possible, which can help with work-life balance.
• Disorganised workflows and sudden changes in priorities.
• Favouritism and nepotism affecting opportunities, recognition, and career progression.
• Performance reviews that feel subjective and disconnected from actual contributions.
• Hybrid model that favours employees who are regularly in the office.
• Professional conduct issues not addressed adequately, even when reported.
• Selective deletion of reviews that contain valid but critical feedback.
• Apply rules and processes consistently to all employees, regardless of personal relationships.
• Increase transparency in decision-making, promotions, and performance reviews.
• Address micromanagement tendencies and give employees more autonomy.
• Ensure hybrid work is truly equal in practice, not just in policy.
• Strengthen professional conduct standards and ensure HR follows through on reported issues.
• Allow all employee feedback — positive and negative — to remain visible so external perception matches internal reality.
Work priorities can change abruptly, creating a sense of instability and disorganisation.
Hybrid work is officially offered, which can help with flexibility, but in practice, being in the office often brings more visibility and advantages. Workload can be high at times, making it harder to fully disconnect.
Standards of professional conduct are not always upheld, and raising issues through official channels does not consistently lead to change.
• Recognition of good work sometimes depends more on personal connections than on results.
• Performance evaluations can feel subjective and not always aligned with actual contributions.
A few dedicated and supportive colleagues who try to deliver quality work despite challenges.
Some long-standing employees and managers adopt a controlling, overly detailed management style that limits autonomy.
Communication from leadership is often unclear, with limited transparency around decision-making.
Publicly available feedback on the company may not tell the full story, as some critical yet constructive reviews have reportedly been removed, which can give a misleading impression of the overall employee experience.

The company offers solid benefits such as German language classes, high-quality tech equipment (laptop, phone, headphones), a Job Deutschland Ticket, gym membership co-pay, and free snacks and drinks in the office. These perks contribute positively to the work experience. Salary, however, could be more competitive considering the workload and responsibilities.
• Certain individuals seem to receive preferential treatment, leading to inconsistent application of rules and processes.
• Although the company promotes hybrid work, employees who are regularly present in the office (outside of the mandated days) tend to receive more visibility and informal advantages.
My experience at Enmacc has been incredibly positive. From day one, I was welcomed into a supportive and friendly environment, which made the onboarding process much smoother.
As a dynamic workplace, Enmacc gave me the opportunity to connect with people from different departments, making my experience even more enriching. The internship program was well-structured from the beginning, with plenty of resources to help me understand the company’s work methods. Despite working on a standalone project, I felt integrated into the team. The team is open to suggestions and improvements, which made me feel capable of contributing in a meaningful way.
I had continuous mentorship and guidance throughout my first month, which has been invaluable. Even though it has only been four weeks, I have already gained a wealth of knowledge and insights.
When you get toxic environment, you hardly find anything to like.
Management is not transparent to every employee and the way they review employees is worst which is nothing by one sided. They built a culture of toxicity in the team and only their favorites have power of voice and if they don’t like you personally, you will hardly get an appreciation and bad review.
There are some very good team members in the team. Some are very friendly and very good professionals, unfortunately the best ones are never valued.
Overall, the work environment is very toxic and rife with nepotism. To receive promotions or be appreciated, you need to be friends with the original founding team. It doesn’t matter how hard you work—if they don’t like you, you will never get a salary increase or promotion.
The management is very close-minded and toxic. They retain inefficient employees simply because they like them and even promote them. Additionally, they refuse to take responsibility for their faults. Even when receiving low scores in work environment surveys, they blame the employees instead of reflecting on their own behaviour.
Complaints are not taken seriously, and raising issues often results in being seen as the problem. There is significant unequal treatment—those within the inner circle enjoy all the benefits, while others are left out entirely.
The turnover rate is high, yet management refuses to address it. Employees who leave, whether voluntarily or due to dismissal, are treated poorly. The company rarely provides proper explanations for terminations, and these individuals seem to vanish without acknowledgment.
I wouldn’t recommend working here unless you are prepared to spend significant time trying to be friends with the management and the founders. Otherwise, your contributions will likely go unnoticed.
very professional, a lot of empowerment, they give you all the instruments to work great!
This is a company where you can grow and develop. Always open for new ideas and for people that want to contribute. A good mix of tech and trading company, with really great colleagues
I think this is one of the greatest assets. Friendly and approachable people. Good working atmosphere where collaboration is encouraged
The employees are good and kind people. It is unbearable to see them used for all the talent they have.
CEO has to be changed. He does not care about the employees, which results in them being undervalued and underpaid.
Discrimination with teams, individuals and gender from the management side. Women aren't treated fairly, and the germans do not respect that it is an English-speaking company.
The commercial team is highly favoured as well as the Tech Teams. This leaves the Operations and HR teams not respected, heavily underpaid for their work and less favoured.
The product is a great one and would indeed revolutionize the industry. But the management will be the end of the company and this will result in a lot of people leaving soon. The founder team need to work on this.
Pay your employees well! Stop throwing all your money to the commercials, the other teams must be compensated better.
Improve your communication and treat your employees as human beings
Create better goals from C-level, down, it's a mess combined with horrible communication.
Get a C-level team that regards people, not just strategy and revenue. Its a recipe for disaster
Horrible communication especially from CEO and c-level management
The people and culture. Definitely that's what makes working here the best.
People here are just incredible to work with.
The 40 hour week is well respected. There will be some more intense days and some more relaxed ones. Private time is private time.
It's a growing startup, so there's a lot of space for growth. You have to work for it for sure, but rising to the occasion and giving your best will help you build a great career here.
Beers after work, and great in/on-sites happen often - this keeps us all well connected and helps maintain relationships between coworkers.
Management is pretty transparent, and Slack is used as the main communication channel, so you can always stay up to date on all topics.
Everyone here is equal and is rated on their work and contribuition.
You never stop learning and there are plenty of super smart people to learn from.
So verdient kununu Geld.
