Organization structure, Compensation, Colleagues and work environment, Training and Certification, company events to meet new colleagues.
Although the company has brilliant tech talent and industry leading experts, which also produce fantastic internal tools, we have not managed to create products and sell them long term. Internal tools that work for the company should be packaged and sold outside as the products are already running successfully for years.
Clear access to sandboxes for practicing on the new tech that are encouraged through the Learn platform, will help in reinforcing the knowledge gained. Besides certificates for courses, sample projects to be completed offline or on the company sandbox, may give rise to potential product ideas or demos.
Friendly colleagues and visionary leadership. Employees are encouraged to be open, contribute to the community and support each other across projects and initiatives.
Employees seem happy with the company culture, tools and vision. There is a positive vibe and understanding when speaking about the company and its leaders. Local leadership takes the time out to engage with colleagues on-site.
Flexible work times, restricted by the client working times (as expected). Till now no pressure or expectation to work beyond dedicated hours. However, as in consulting projects, project success depends on quality deliverables before time, which may need a push from the employee.
Huge number of communities where one can join and contribute. It is even encouraged by the company.
Colleagues are fantastic. There exists a buddy system during the first 3 months of onboarding, and networking is encouraged. Leadership supports and provides references to people who may solve the problem, internal or client specific, that the employee may have.
Decisions were made swiftly so far, and transparently. Unnecessary bureaucratic procedures were avoided, and suggestions are made upfront for approvals to go through smoothly. My supervisors are responsive and provide necessary feedback for improvement and career progression.
Infrastructure, such as devices, in-office setup and tools are up to date with several trainings for the optimum and secure usage.
Frequent communication about org updates, public policy changes, training and updates to relevant tools based on the current role of the employee.
Competitive and fair.
Assessments are purely skill based and people from various backgrounds and industries are welcome. People from all genders are treated with the same respect and opportunities.
Within a short time had the chance to work on POCs, Pre-Sales and client project. Regardless, there are regular requests from the DM community for support in various projects when skills match. So, there is no dearth of opportunities. Also, the company provides tools to self search for interesting projects, roles and clients and request your candidature directly.

Betriebsrat
(Teils) spannende Projekte, effiziente Integration neuer Mitarbeiter trotz irrem Wachstum. Einige sehr kompetente KollegInnen. Internationale Atmosphäre.
Teils leider sehr inkompetente Account-Manager.

The work atmosphere is excellent. Employees have the right to plan their own work days based on their time schedules and there is no micromanaging. I feel appricated and I can openly discuss development ideas and they are taken into consideration if it's something that is line with the company goals/culture/vision and can be improved.
As a company we acknowledge our weaknesses and celebrate our strength. It's easy to be proud of to be part of EPAM Systems. Most importantly we have very interesting IT projects and together with our clients we bring software technologies further!
Employee benefits are not as good as with of our competitors, especially company car and pension plan would be appreciated.
Organisational structure is sometimes slightly unclear, especially when one joins the company. It's difficult to identify who should be contacted when there might be few share holders for similar topics such as Cloud related questions and the key stake holder isn't necessarily in the same country as you. More simplyfied company structure (responsibility areas) or at least a clearer company structure chart would be appreciated.
This highly depends on your individual planning skills. There is always something to do but it's every individuals responsibility to shut down the laptop when the work day is over. My manager has been very clear on this topic (weekends and evenings are for private life) and he doesn't want to see us burn down.
The average salaries are not necessarily the highest in the market but rather based on market average. What makes it lucrative to work at EPAM is the good and fair bonus system. Individual who works hard and brings good results will get paid appropriate bonus and has a good chance to advance his/her career. When it comes to employee benefits we don't have much of them. For example there is no company car, pension plan or gym memberships offered but instead you are offered LinkedIn Learning and other trainings.
Not completely sure. We recycle waste in the office but otherwise I'm not aware of the actions taken.
We started working from home mid of March 2020 due to the pandemics and it's continuing until further notice. Naturally it has affected cooperation when you can't meet your colleagues in the office but using MS Teams has worked well in our team and we haven't gone overboard with meetings which is also important. I would say cooperation works as smoothly as one can expect in special circumstances like this.
We have a wide mix of people from different age groups but the majority here in Germany are 30-60 years old. We rarely have younger people because at the moment we are rahter focusing on hiring Senior IT specialists with 5-10+ years expereince. Nevertheless, age does not play a significant role in the hiring process but the actual experience.
Since I'm personally one of the younger generation here in Germany, I'm not the best person to evaluate how older employees feel they are supported in their daily life.
This comes directly from my heart: I have never in my career has a metter manager than now. He is very knowledgeable in his field, very professional but still takes into consideration everyone's preferences and indicvidual strengts to his best knowledge.
Project goals are clearly planned (together, not coming from above) and in times of struggles one can always ask for help from the manager and the team to solve any issues.
In the office the set up was pretty fine. Working from home puts some restrictions but everyone has gotten training about how to set up your home office to be up to the standards (how to position your computer, how to adjust your chair and lightning etc.) We also have an internal portal where everyone should confirm that they have all technical capabilities to work from home and if not, you can contact someone to go through the missing points and how to improve it.
Diversity is part of our company strategy and it's visible on every layer that we try hard to find the best talent to our organisation no matter what is the background of the applicant. We have very multinational working environment both internationally but also locally here in Germany. We have several female colleagues in various positions and as a female myself I can say that I feel that I definitely have same opportunities to advance my career as my male colleagues.
We have wide range of tasks to perform. Sometimes unexpected requests comes along and everyone in the team is ready to tackle them even if they aren't officially part of our job description. This keeps the work interesting and challenging in a good way.
Unglaubliche s know how bei EPAM vorhanden.
Teilweise sehr gut, vereinzelt Termindruck
Einfach top!
We develope the future and it´s exciting to be part of this journey
nothing
We need to do more marketing on the German market to make this great brand also great in Germany.
very professional but still very friendly
We need to work on this to be more attractive
no one controls you when you do your work, you just have to do it
very good especially when think how globally spreaded this company is.
we are all pretty young
supportive and fair
very good and many channels
Part of company ethics
we are designing the future which is pretty cool
Very innovative, good engineering spirit
no leadership, no cohesion, no trust, no good coaching only critics, no career support, ...
Don't lead Germany out of UK
we ate most of the time at the client
pour image
its fine
lot of noise around internal programs, I personally received non in three years.
as usual
overall the company is running a lot of social projects. But not in Germany
no German team at all
never trust you, knowing everything better
depends more or less on the client
