Awesome energy in the team and company. Everyone seems to be super motivated and wants to impact the product and success. The new office is amazing with much light, modern floor and furniture, much glass, own kitchen with kicker table and cool looks. Super glad to see that the management heard the feedback from the employees to install air conditioning as well. There also many events organized now from Sundowner after work come together to Yoga sessions in the office.
Deep Tech & Innovations
This company is definitely demanding high talent and motivation. I often do extra hours but not because my manager is forcing me but because I just like the product and my tasks and I want to deliver. But work hours are super flexible and I could easily reduce my workload to compensate my extra time.
I had a lot of mentoring sessions recently which helped me grow my skills significantly. The innovative AI mindsets everywhere support using newest edge technology. They just introduced a training program as well
Fair compensation. No large scale enterprise salaries but reasonable for a scale up
There are initiatives to support sustainability in the company and among employees. Of course next to the product supporting sustainability
I appreciate my super talented colleagues and everyone's huge motivation. When deadlines are close many colleagues are offering to support to get things delivered in time.
Everyone in the management is extremely sharp and friendly. I felt welcome from day one with a lot of professionality in their communication. The feedback and development meeting with my supervisor (which they do once a year) was great with really helpful feedback and a transparent development path.
People are really busy and focussed on their work and sometimes there could be more chatting between colleagues. But that's the trade off to efficiency. I like the transparent communication about company goals and new developments in the bi-annual workshops and monthly all staff meetings.
There is a lot of diversity in the company. Comparable many women for a tech company, young and elderly, different cultures and I feel everyone is respected and treated the same.
I just love the product and mission and it makes me proud of being part of it.
The founders are very smart and competent, and there’s a lot to learn from them. The company has great growth potential. If you’re early in your career and eager to learn, and money or time isn’t a major concern, this is a perfect place to grow.
There seems to be a mismatch between workload, salary, and the skills expected. The pressure can be high, and the rules regarding office attendance feel quite strict. Adjusting expectations and offering more flexibility could improve the overall work experience
Invest more in your employees! While having a young and motivated team can be great, this only works up to a point. Full-time employees often spend a lot of time onboarding new hires and supervising students or interns. By the time they gain experience, the students or interns’ contracts end and they leave. Ideally, a small number of juniors or interns should support a team of seniors, not the other way around as it is currently.
The argument that 'we are a startup and can’t afford it' doesn’t hold as strongly anymore. It would be better to have fewer but more senior employees, rather than many beginners who rotate constantly.
Additionally, behind the idea of an 'international team that integrates any culture,' there seems to be a cost-saving strategy: hiring employees from countries with lower wages. While this can be beneficial and even admirable in some cases, it often leads to high integration risks, and the burden falls on existing employees who must redo onboarding repeatedly when hires leave.
Focus more on your employees, not just cost-saving. Hire competent senior staff who don’t need to be trained from scratch and whose integration risk is lower. Offer training and career development opportunities, and reconsider your performance expectations. If salaries are low and hires are mostly students, you cannot realistically expect high-tech-level performance.
Finally, be more flexible with work-from-home arrangements. If you don’t trust your employees to work remotely, it indicates a mismatch in hiring. Every relationship, including employer-employee relationships, relies on trust—without it, there is little to build upon.
The workload is very high and you constantly feel like you’re not fast enough, facing a lot of pressure and dissatisfaction from management. This is especially frustrating given that many employees are students or juniors who are still learning; in this context, the expectations often feel unrealistic — especially considering that salaries are below market level.
On the positive side, you are constantly challenged and never bored. The management team is very competent, and you can feel steady and continuous growth in your skills
There is a heavy workload and a lot of pressure, with almost all teams being overloaded. Many colleagues work overtime and still struggle to meet the expected standards
Formal workshops, courses, or certifications are currently limited, and promotions tend to be rare. This is partly because many employees are students on fixed-term contracts, and most full-time staff leave after around two years (from what I realised), so there is often not enough time to reach a promotion.
Compensation is somewhat below the market average, which may be understandable for a growing startup. However, considering that the company already has clients and investors, there might be room to revisit salary levels to better reflect the responsibilities and skills of the employees.
Although coming to the office is justified by the idea of 'working together,' in some teams this doesn’t really happen. Instead, you are encouraged to work on your own and ask as few questions as possible, so as not to disturb others, since everyone has a heavy workload. In certain teams the atmosphere feels more competitive, while in others it is friendlier
In general, they try to be friendly and approachable. They are highly competent, which is always noticeable in interactions, and I have a great deal of respect for them because of that. However, some can be very difficult and moody, while others tend to be quite stubborn and insist on their own opinions. I believe it is challenging for all of them to find the right balance between applying pressure and being supportive, especially given the high level of stress throughout the company.
Being in the office is strongly expected, but one would hope the working conditions matched. Space is limited, it often gets too warm, and there is no proper kitchen.
It feels like some people are favored over others.
You get the constant feeling that the task you are working on should actually be completed more quickly. And it often feels like the work you do is often not appreciated. You also notice that people in the company are being let go because of poor performance. Meanwhile, the respective team is already considered understaffed.
I have noticed sometimes that others have been contacted while on vacation or sick leave (even if they didn't want to), but I have not had that experience myself. I have also never been explicitly pressured to work overtime.
It's only a small thing, but I'd like to mention it because I don't understand it: in the middle of summer, small USB table fans were purchased because of the heat. But not one for every seat, only for just over half of them. And anyone who arrives late at the office on hot days can't get one.
Investierst in eure Mitarbeiter!
Keine Frauen in relevanten Führungspositionen, grundsätzlich wenig weiblich Kolleginnen.
Gibt kaum welche.
Fehlende Docking-Stations, defekte Laptops, kaputte Tische, wenig Platz….
So verdient kununu Geld.
