Gridfuse war mal eine tolle Firma – crossfunktionale Teams, people and culture statt human resources, flache Hierarchien, weitsichtige Planung.
Technology, prospects for growth as an engineer, experienced and helpful collaborating engineers. Free drinks and beer.
Lack of trust in employees-very high level of managerial control and computer monitoring software.
Managers who supervise rather than support employees.
Unclear expectations.
Clearer expectations for employees.
Better onborading procedures for new employees.
Work on managerial chaos
"Transparency" comes up very often during the interview but management did not give reasons why one of the managers stopped being employed overnight.
The company styles itself as an open and modern workplace, but some managerial practices are more associated with a huge corporation.
Features must be proved at all costs, there is a tacit acquiescence to work until late at night
Rather, experienced programmers were promoted to managerial positions (which is a disadvantage to me)
The company uses employee-unfriendly provisions in the contract (e.g., non-compete after termination of employment)
The company invests a lot of time and resources in social media promotions
Payment always on time, standard market salaries.
Company develops green energy technologies
Engineers for the most part have high knowledge and skills and are willing to share them.
Coworkers from a same level are open to help
After 4 months of work and always positive feedback I was going on a week's vacation.
I got my first negative feedback from the manager in the afternoon, on the last day before my vacation. I accepted it and expressed my willingness to work on what he didn't like.
On the last day of my leave, I got a message on my private phone that I had to be in the office in the morning for an important meeting.
At the meeting I received a termination notice and messages such as: "You do not meet the requirements" (no one had presented them before). "We believe that you are not able to reach the level we accept."
The equipment is new and high-end, but the employer forbids leaving private items on the desk. Each desk is a hot desk.
Unclear expectations and unspecific goals (e.g., good learning Progress) that the employee is held accountable for
People from different countries work in the company
The level of technology is very high, you can learn trending solutions and participate in their creation.
