Good potential, bad management
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Great office, great out-of-work activities (trainings, teambuildings)
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
- TimeDoctor
- Vertical hierarchy
- Quantity > quality principle
- Adding features instead of fixing existing ones
- Startup mentality with 10< years on market
Arbeitsatmosphäre
Teammates are nice people, but overall work atmosphere is stressful and leads to burn outs
Work-Life-Balance
The TimeDoctor utility, which GB uses to track employees’ screens, completely undermines work–life balance. Because “success” is measured in hours worked (and it is possible to earn more by tracking additional time in TimeDoctor), overworking is quite common here. Moreover, this tool has made me afraid to open personal content even outside of working hours.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
There are different workshops, but a lot of them are not really useful
Kollegenzusammenhalt
There are many nice people working at GymBeam, and team spirit is probably the best aspect for me. However, as mentioned above, pressure from management makes it difficult to be happy working at GB; as a result, some colleagues no longer care about their team.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
As mentioned, goals are often created on the fly without consulting lower-level employees.
Arbeitsbedingungen
Great office, great HW
Kommunikation
Despite having effective communication tools, decisions are often made by a limited number of people without consulting the departments that will actually work on the task. There is no clearly defined team responsible for specific features; as a result, when something fails, the team currently working on it is blamed.
Gleichberechtigung
Not going into details here, some persons are treated better than others
Interessante Aufgaben
Task can be interesting and challenging, but can quickly change once you start working on them, which creates a lot of time wasting
