Became the worst place to work
Arbeitsatmosphäre
The current working atmosphere suffers directly from a lack of fairness that has undermined trust in all areas. It is clear that decisions and opportunities are not being implemented consistently, leading to a palpable sense of unfairness. This is not just a perception, but actively undermines our ability to trust leadership.
Kommunikation
There's a noticeable lack of open communication, especially from leadership, which leads to a lot of uncertainty and speculation among team members. It often feels like decisions are made behind closed doors, and we're not informed until after the fact.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
The colleagues are the best part of working here.
Work-Life-Balance
There's an unrealistic expectations for work-life balance, particularly given the consistent encouragement from direct management to work extra (but not as payed extra hours). This continuous pressure to exceed standard working hours is creating a highly stressful environment and making it difficult for many of us to maintain personal well-being and meet external responsibilities. A sustainable work model should prioritize both productivity and employee health.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
The consistent behavior from managers, marked by frequent degrading jokes and the placement of unnecessary pressure on employees, is unprofessional and counterproductive.
Interessante Aufgaben
While our workload is generally well-distributed, but the limited autonomy given to the team ia a problem. With managers frequently acting as de facto team leads and making all decisions on project allocation, engineers often find themselves receiving final implementation orders rather than contributing to the initial design or strategic phases. This is particularly noticeable when interesting projects emerge; the manager often takes the lead, leaving the engineering team with only the execution. This approach, though efficient in some ways, can stifle creative input and growth opportunities for the team.
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
They could and should do more but they simply don't want and don't care about it.
Gehalt/Benefits
There's a strong perception that employees' hard work and contributions aren't genuinely valued, as the system doesn't appear to recognize or reward meritocracy through compensation or promotion. Also the noticeable discrepancy in salaries among individuals performing similar tasks, sometimes even with different titles and salary, highlights a lack of equitable recognition and creates a sense of unfairness.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
As already mentioned, promotions are less about merit and more about playing politics. The further education possibilities ia pretty much non-existent nowadays as they removed the L&D budget.
