Great culture, attractive mission and uncertain times

The company has an attractive mission—to help everyone find the right job and live a fulfilling life. In practice, however, the focus is more on helping companies hire talent.
It has an amazing culture; people genuinely care about each other, which is evident at all levels, from peers to team leads and department heads.
There is a great work-life balance, which i find cool especially for colleagues with children.
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
The lack of growth is primarily attributed to poor macroeconomic conditions—at least, according to the management and founders. Well, almost any company can grow organically when the market or industry is in a growth phase (and especially remaining unprofitable).
There have been two official layoffs within nine months. Yet, there have been zero strategic decisions, zero reflections, and zero meaningful changes. The only action taken has been reducing headcount—while paradoxically resuming hiring just a month later (!!). And, of course, blaming external factors like the war, Trump, or the Bruch der Ampelkoalition. Overall, everything is communicated in a polite and empathetic manner, fostering mutual support among employees. However, management seems to have no clear direction for the future—just hoping the market will rebound soon.
Processes are overly complex for such product and business model. The technology, once the company’s main asset and competitive advantage, is now struggling to keep pace with industry advancements.
